20.01.2022 To Members Following negotiations with senior officers in Wollongong City Council, the Council has agreed for Club competitions to re-start at Russell Vale Golf Course from Thursday 8 July 2021. The online Members Bookings will open at 7:00pm Wednesday 7 July for the competition on Thursday 8 July 2021. ... Following that all online Members Bookings will open at 7:00pm one week in advance of the relevant competition. Members must adhere to the COVID Safety Plan for RVGC Golf Competitions - a copy is on the Club’s website. Advice has been received from Wollongong City Council that Russell Vale Golf Course will close for the period of the COVID-19 restrictions.... I will update members if there is any change to these NSW Government’s COVID-19 restrictions. 12.01.2022 To Members Following a number of representations from the Club to senior officers in Wollongong City Council requesting the re-opening of the Russell Vale Golf Course for exercise purposes for our members and the public, Council has advised that the golf course will re-open Thursday 1 July 2021. However, Council has determined that during this COVID-19 restriction period golf competitions are not to be held on the course and no golf carts. The Club has requested Council to r...econsider that decision. In the meantime, if a member has booked to play in a Thursday, Saturday or Tuesday competition on the Club’s tee booking system, these times will be transferred to the Pro Shop as a booking to play on the course, but there will be no club competitions at this stage. This will enable you to play a social game if you wish. Please note that the Clubhouse remains closed due to the NSW Government’s current COVID-19 restrictions.
