23.01.2022 RUSTIC GARDEN RAISED GARDEN BEDS We purchased 8 large raised beds from Max a little over 2 years ago which we have turned into wicking beds and have enjoyed many successful crops of home grown organically grown food. Initially we purchase the beds because we wanted to garden without breaking our backs however since using the beds we have discovered many other advantages which include: * Reduction of pest infestation * Weed free gardening * No need for chemical application so ...we can produce organic food * Cost effective soil improvement * Perfect for creating wicking beds * In our cold climate raised beds act as a heat bank and extend our growing season * Many visitors have commented on how attractive our vegetable patch is The beds are sturdy and well-made of cypress wood and your choice of either gal or colour bond metal. We have grown a wide range of vegetables from strawberries, a range of leafy greens, herbs, root crops, garlic, onions, pumpkin, watermelon, asparagus, chilli and sweet potato, and we live in the Ballarat region. We have recently gone back to Max to order another bed to contain our raspberry canes. This time we needed a shorter wider bed which Max is building for us. The beds are available in a range of colours shapes, heights and sizes and Max’s knowledge of gardening is also worth tapping into. 23.01.2022 Rustic Garden Raised Garden Beds 2019 Dimensions and Pricing. Made from recycled and reclaimed materials. Frame is untreated cypress milled in Victoria. Inserts can be made from factory seconds or off cuts of zincalume, colourbond or galvanized iron. (Weathered gal iron available from time to time). As the timber is rough sawn the top is sanded to reduce splinters. There is no need to paint or treat the cypress, left to weather it will gradually turn an attractive grey colo...ur. Available for pick up or delivery (extra). Delivery can be arranged for Ballarat, Geelong areas and Melbourne areas. Message for delivery quote and pick up arrangements. Turnaround time usually 2-3 weeks All sizes are: Length x Width x Height (External dimensions). Dimensions may vary slightly due to variation in milling procedures. Boxes can be made in either full sheet (900mm) or half sheet (480mm). Due to the time taken to cut zincalume and the wastage I am not making boxes in sizes between 480mm and 900mm. If you require a box lower than 900mm boxes can be sunk into the ground to achieve required height. 1000mm x 1000mm x 400mm -$145. 07.01.2022 Due to health and safety concerns 2000mm will be the longest bed available assembled. The 2500 mm length will be available for pick up or delivery as a flat pack, predrilled and all screws provided. From February 1 other sizes may also be purchased in flat pack format. New price structure will be listed February 1 also. If you were thinking of placing an order based on what you have seen in 2017, GET IN QUICK as all orders placed before the end of January can be purchased at 2017 prices.
