25.01.2022 I am privileged to have been able to help one of my favourite birds yesterday. He was hit by a car on the Bass Highway and couldn’t move. His mate was dodging cars to check if he was ok. All clear except the gash on his head the vet said he can go free in a day or so. I am hoping to reunite him with his mate tomorrow afternoon at deloraine. Fingers crossed. The right is photographic art by my cousin I have on my wall

20.01.2022 A couple of new ‘rustic projects’ undertaken recently, very happy with them. Sometimes takes a bit of convincing the men that it can be aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. They had to agree in the end though

18.01.2022 Well Maggie made it home, I think. Straight out of the cage into a tree. Then took off across the paddocks to a magpie family which was obviously not his as they beat him up and he headed back into the tree. Last seen flying into a row of pine trees, hopefully to the right familyunfortunately, the only video doesn’t show the birdie and I have had to sack the photographer
