24.01.2022 Today we visited the beautiful town of Sheffield and had a really enjoyable time at Steamfest. So much heritage at this festival, and definitely worth a visit.

23.01.2022 National Eucalyptus Day - did you know Tasmania has 29 species of eucalyptus and 16 of these are endemic to our state. We have a few species on our farm and around our huts.

22.01.2022 Due to the recent developements with the novel coronavirus and social distancing requirements, we have decided to temporarily close our farmstay accommodation. As we offer an authentic farm experience to our guests, which include hands on activities in small groups we have decided as a precautionary measure this is the best decision at this time. Although we are closed for accommodation we are still available for enquiries and future bookings. ... 22.01.2022 After a sleepless night checking on a cow in labour we finally decided to get the vet at 7am. Farmer Phil and I usually deliver our calves but he hurt his back delivering the last one. After an hour or so we had beautiful twin calves born, both breach. Mum and babies are doing fine.

22.01.2022 Our guests in The Farm Hut have their own welcoming comittee. The baby swallows in the nest above their door are just starting to fly around, but mother swallow soon guides them back.

21.01.2022 A very quiet morning on the farm. Usually our guests are enjoying an easter eggs hunt. Next year we will have to make it eggstra special. But we did find easter bunny exhausted on our lounge room floor.

20.01.2022 We are really excited to be offering our farm activities again starting 25th September, just in time for the school holidays. Due to Covid distancing restrictions we have limited our activities to one family per tour. Give your kids a great farm experience.

03.01.2022 Winter days on the farm. We spend a lot of our time during the winter months ensuring our farm animals are all warm and comfortable. Lots of fresh straw for their beds, and paddocks with trees for shelter, helps keep them warm on these cold days and nights. And guess where we find Misty the dog ?

02.01.2022 Penguins, October until March is the ideal time to see the quaint little penguins waddling out of the sea at dusk each day. This is a great experience for the family.

02.01.2022 We now have a photo corner in our Farmhouse Barn. Guests can get a great family portrait as a souvenir of their stay. Straw bales nestled between wagon wheels makes an authentic rustic backdrop.
