25.01.2022 New to the pantry! Olssons Sea Salt Flakes. Packaged in beautiful ceramic canisters, with bulk refills available! The Olsson family have been making solar sea salt since the 1960s and are the oldest family owned and operated sea salt maker in Australia. To make their sea salt, Olssons use the method called solar evaporation. Solar salt is produced by the action of sun and wind on seawater In large ponds. The seawater evaporates in successive ponds until the seawater is fully concentrated and the salt then crystallizes on the floor of the pond. It is then scooped up, washed in seawater, dried and packaged. Thats it. There are no chemical processes involved in the manufacture of their product, which is why they guarantee it is perfectly natural.

15.01.2022 A simple quick lunch for the weekend. Grilled za'atar and feta on a pizza base, topped with peppery rocket and sea salt. Featuring some pantry favourites!... Mix together a 3 tablespoons of Contadino Olive Farm olive oil, 2 tablespoons of our za'atar blend and spread onto a Wild Rye's pizza base. Crumble over some Tilba Real Dairy feta (or drips of Peace Love & Vegetables cashew cheese if plant based!) and pop into a hot oven until crispy and burnished. 14.01.2022 Product Spotlight - Hazelnuts High in dietary fibre, folate, and an excellent source of vitamin E. Hazelnuts are a delicious addition to salads, dukkah, cakes and desserts or made into nut milk. Our raw organically grown hazelnuts are sourced just over the boarder in Victoria. Pepo Farms are also the supplier of our pumpkin seeds and artisan oils! 10.01.2022 Hi Everyone, just an update after todays announcement regarding Covid-19. Tomorrow we will be opening at 10am. There will be a limit of 4 customers in the shop at any one time. Our strict hand washing and scoop rules still apply. With the panic buying still happening around the country we are finding it hard to get stock of basic items. We will be doing a quick stocktake before opening to make sure we are as stocked as possible. ... As far as we are aware we will have a delivery of bread tomorrow from Wild Ryes. We ask anyone that has recently travelled overseas or who feels unwell to please not come into the pantry at this time. Orders can still be made on the website, there is an option for delivery. After a lot of searching we found that we could get Barambah Organics in bulk and GLASS! Nic and I participated in the bottle return program when we lived in Sydney and we feel youll love the milk as much as we do! We have glass bottled milk ready to go, with refills available from next week!

07.01.2022 Thank you to all our customers that have shown kindness and patience over the past few days as we are constantly updating and changing things in the shop. Below is the latest update: Shop Hours - Monday to Friday: 10am - 5pm, Saturday 10am - 1pm. There are some buying restrictions until our orders can be brought back to normal with our supplier. A full list is available on the front door. There will be times when we need to shut for 10mins or so to clean scoops, wipe down... surfaces, fill tubs etc. As there is only two of us in the shop most days, please be mindful that we are trying to keep everything available where we can. Hand washing is still required to shop at the pantry. While we understand you are being asked to sanitise or wash in other shops, it is essential that you wash your hands before shopping with us as a food business we want to keep all our customers as safe as we can. 06.01.2022 Well, we didnt think posting the last photo would lead to so many questions! You were all very creative! Were not moving or opening another location and there definitely isnt a baby on the way! What we are doing is now offering home delivery! Weve teamed up with a local courier and will be offering next business day delivery from Batemans Bay - Tilba Tilba! Our website has had an update to include all the products available for delivery* (with a few photos still to uplo...ad!) . You can order online for next business day delivery up until 4pm the day before. We will pack your order in paper bags or jars and send it to your doorstep in recycled plastic free packaging! If youre heading into Moruya but dont have time to shop, you can drop your jars/containers off with us and we can get them delivered to you also. If you dont want your order the next day, you can also choose what day your order is delivered by letting us know in the checkout notes section. This section can also be useful if you wants your coffee beans ground, or have any notes for us! Deliveries will start next Monday, March 2nd. 05.01.2022 Firstly wed like to say thank you to all our customers regular and new for remaining calm during these uncertain times. Given the current panic buying and shortages we have thankfully not seen this behaviour at the pantry. Wed like to use this post to update you on what were doing at the pantry during this time. We are asking that all customers please wash their hands before shopping. Hand washing has been found to be most effective over sanitiser, and given the current... shortages we are waiting for our next order to arrive. There is a hand washing station located just inside the store room. We are already taking measures to clean frequently touched areas throughout the day. This includes, scoops, tub lids, handles, scales and the eftpos machine. This will continue alongside our regular daily cleaning routine. A reminder that you should also be using a new scoop for each tub you use, placing the used scoop into a used scoop basket located around the shop. Please also refrain from touching/sampling any produce. Card payments for purchases over $20 are preferred, payments are accepted for amounts under $20 but we ask you pay via savings account to minimise the already excessive charges passed on to us by the banks. Cash will still be accepted if you cannot pay via card. We are trying to guarantee stock availability, however with the panic buying nationwide we are already experiencing some shortages with suppliers. We will endeavour to return all items to the shelves as soon as we can. Our delivery service is up and running if you would rather not come into the shop. Orders can be made at www.therusticpantry.com.au. All items are available for delivery with the exception of cold products. You can also email an order through to us if you would like us to simply collect your shopping. For now we also have no indication as to when our toilet paper stock will be replenished. We do have stock of tissues and paper towel, however limits will be placed on these items to ensure we can share them equally. While these measures may seem extreme to some, we are being extra vigilant as a family run business. If either of us gets sick the pantry will not be able to open. After a lot of research and triple checks we have brought in @malfroys_wild_honey Located in the NSW Central Tablelands and Blue Mountains, Tim and Emma Malfroy produce "wild" honey. Focusing on natural beekeeping and sustainability, the health of their bees comes before anything else. We have yellow box in bulk, available now. @malfroys_wild_honey
