09.01.2022 We love a repeat client! Thanks @tash_michalczyk. We came to the decision to use an old solid door as this piece for an out door table after discussing sizes with the client. Was fun to see the colours of the old paint layers come through while sanding it to get this finish, topped off with a clear matt and black trestle style legs #rusticpiece

06.01.2022 For those who didn’t see the process. It was a bit of trial and error for me on this one, but fun and pretty happy with the result! This was an old oregon strutting beam pulled out a roof. Machined the cup out, hammered and bashed and hacked for some character, burnt, sanded, stained with merbau stain then burnt again and finished with a satin clear. Sat on top of some matte black iron X legs to set it off.
