23.01.2022 Gosh! Another birthday & another beautiful soul passes on too soon! My beautiful boy, Morgan 26 Aug 2007 - 11 Nov 2020. I was his human until a year after my little store opened 9 years ago today Can't believe Rustic Simplicity is 9 years old!?! However he much preferred farm life to the urban retail environment & I can't thank Alan White enough for taking him on ... What a life Morgan has led 'rounding up' cows, goats & anyone who would throw a ball or a stick! & Siobhan - he wouldn't have made it thru COVID without you - thank you both And how far has Rustic Simplicity come?!? So much gratitude to Al for helping me set up shop & for keeping 'Mad Dog Morgan' in my world. Rest in Peace little dog. Will miss you! And as for Rustic Simplicity - a new chapter. Watch this space!!! In the meantime, see you soon for on street trading out the front of the shop from end (Fri 27) November & in store by appointment, then & now A day to remember, Lest we Forget...

I love the region where I have my little store in Alexandra & can't wait until we can re-open in a COVID SAFE fashion.. Until then, thanks for continuing to support us online via Facebook! ... 09.01.2022 Well it's not just Victoria that's opening up again - so are we! Sort of Rustic Simplicity will be starting street stall trading coupled with one group at a time in store visits from Fri 27 Nov. Open days will increase with demand so best to book your visit in advance. For now, we're still open for 'by appointment' visits - simply get in touch. And we're also working behind the scenes on reconfiguring the store so that it is safe for us both to open fully in a COVID fri...endly fashion but I'm afraid that's a little ways away yet. In the meantime the Barber Shop remains closed until further notice - but rest assured we'll be back up & running fully when it's safe to ... 06.01.2022 Had some quiet contemplation time in the garden today & picked some roses for my dearest sweet Pete. Peter Hook, Happy Birthday - you would have been 76 today - taken away in May - far too soon ... Many will recall our joint exhibitions in the early years of Rustic Simplicity and you would recognise some pf Pete's work adorning the walls of the gallery - some gifted, others purchased and a contributor to group exhibitions until the end. Rest In Peace my friend

03.01.2022 Also available for women, men & kids (as well as our face masks see our recent posts for new spring collection) are our neck gaiters - they double as headbands & scarves and because of their flexibility, work well with glasses. A handful of the heavier weight variety abailable (2 men's black $59- ea) but most are single layer with a triple layer nose/mouth filter pocket lightweight variety that are $39- for men's, $35- for women's & $29- for kids.

01.01.2022 Spring weather means spring clothes, spring blossoms & our new spring collection - lighter weight but with still three layers of cotton and soft elastic around the ears. $20- each with a lot of one-offs so ordering only from the ones in stock this time.
