25.01.2022 While I have been working this week, I have also been thinking & planning of what I can offer for Christmas - scary isnt it.........both the fact that I am being that organized and also that Christmas is close enough to be thinking about. But in reality, its the planning that is the most fun! I enjoyed creating this set of cookies for Shaes baby shower this weekend - the colour scheme was matched to the invitations. It would have been a lovely afternoon yesterday to ce...lebrate the impending birth! **For all those who have placed orders for Fathers Day - could you let me know if you havent received an email/invoice from me? 24.01.2022 A couple of months ago, I was approached by the SA Tourism Commission to make some cookies as part of their latest promotion SATV - promoting the various regions of SA. Gift baskets were sent out to influencers in SA & interstate..... I was in the presence of greatness with the accompanying brands of Haighs, Wirra Wirra, Grant Burge, Maine Beach, Pirate Life and many others....

22.01.2022 Merry Christmas! I’m not sure that I will get time to make another post before Christmas....so this is it! Firstly...thank you for supporting me this year. Even though we have experienced lock down with Covid, I have only had 2 weeks where I haven’t had a cake to make....in fact this has been my best year and my accountant is finally pleased! There have been so many weddings and other events cancelled or postponed and it has been the year to adapt and accept changes. ...I have missed doing cake decorating classes this year but I have been thinking and planning them (eg Mermaid cake class for mothers and daughters?). And I would love to do some Christmas classes! For those people who are interested in my family - Iain didn’t get to go to Melbourne for his croissant classes (60th b/d present) ....but maybe next year? Ben has landed himself a terrific job next year in Newcastle NSW - 2 yr position specializing in cardiac care and supporting him through further uni studies. Ben & Chelsea’s wedding pt 2 takes place at the end of Feb 2021. Our other son Nic has received fantastic results with his Medical Science course - all HD’s. He has lots of contacts in Russia and recently was asked to do some work with a Glacierologist and proof read their English research project. I’m having some time off in Feb/March but will post about that in the new year. Have a lovely Christmas - for those who have bought Christmas bonbons, if you feel like sharing photos of your Christmas table settings with them, I would love to see them. 22.01.2022 Id love a bit of feedback please. In regards to my Fathers Day gift box, would your father/husband/partner be happy to receive this - is it manly enough... If I was to put a dried bunny tail/preserved fern etc under the ribbon, would it be appreciated or would they think it is a weed?

20.01.2022 It has been a pretty special week. Last week I shared about my mother celebrating her 90th birthday on Wednesday, and today the mother of one of my best school friends also celebrated her 90th birthday. Just 3 days apart! The other celebration this weekend was a 30th birthday - the cake was a Chocolate Mud cake with Chocolate Fudge Ganache and crushed Mint Aero Chocolate, I think it should taste really, really good!

19.01.2022 This week: . A classic colour combination - navy & gold. Ive decided that navy is the colour that keeps on giving! Since decorating that cake, I have discovered navy icing on cupboards, on my fingers and even on some onion I was cutting up yesterday and I cant blame anyone else . .The cake was a white chocolate mudcake with a ccokiesncream ganache filling.... . ......and.....Mixed leopard style cupcakes of Vanilla with Raspberry Compote & Chocolate with Salted Caramel Ganache. 19.01.2022 Last Sunday, I talked about something quite exciting that I was doing this week. I was invited to create a wedding cake for a photo shoot to promote @redwingfarmsa , near Moonta. It was so much fun and I know there will be some professional photos to show you soon. A lovely venue for weddings, formals, family reunions, birthdays and all sorts of celebrations.

18.01.2022 A couple of weeks ago, I showed a few photos from a photo shoot that I was privileged to be part of - and here are the professional ones. What a beautiful (& real) country farm to hold a wedding..... or other events. I dont know any other shearing shed with stunning chandeliers, I think our local farmers need to lift their game! 18.01.2022 The last week of July - can you believe it?!! Soon I will need to be thinking about Christmas goodies but for now the next event is Fathers Day. If you have the chance would you look at the post before this one and just vote to give me an idea of what you might be interested in for Fathers Day gifts. I made this bunch of cookies yesterday - we have great florists here but a bunch of cookies might be a different gift idea.

16.01.2022 Ive had a great range of cakes this week, but the most important to me is my mums 90th birthday cake. Her birthday is on Wednesday but we had a family lunch today to celebrate....& yes she gets another cake on Wednesday! (I have tried to comment on each of my photos but FB isnt playing nice and they arent appearing - sorry.)

It was wonderful today to meet so many lovely people at the Arthurton Popup Market - so many wonderful stalls & a lovely atmosphere too. The organisers did a wonderful job, at such short notice, to organise the market.... I’m having a day off tomorrow to clean up and then will do the final tweaking and prep for releasing the Christmas range for orders.
16.01.2022 For those of you in SA - we have just been watching the Christmas pageant. This is the day I traditionally make my fruit mince ready for fruit mince pies & many of us decorate our Christmas trees. Here is a short video of my husband Iain (a Kiwi!) on our balcony & decorating whilst the pageant was still on. ( sorry I was trying not to laugh in the background!). I thought it might bring a smile to some x
14.01.2022 One day I will wake up and discover that Facebook has gone back to normal and that I can once again write a description under each of my photos. This week saw my first Cookie Cake - a cake trend that I was wondering if I would ever get the opportunity to make - layers of cookie/biscuit with white chocolate cream cheese & chocolate fudge fillings & decorated with anything & everything.
14.01.2022 Happy Mothers Day! I have done a terrible job of taking photos of my week...so you just have to imagine a photo of 37 Grazing Boxes, 130 cupcakes and 30 boxes of decorated biscuits, all piled on the table, bench, work table - in fact every flat surface that didnt move! Iain & I spent 5 hours yesterday making deliveries - in different directions and that free delivery was our present to you. ... I must make mention of all the men who contacted me & ordered for the loved women in their lives...I was so impressed! Thank you to those who have sent photos/videos of their Mothers Day goodies, it has been lovely to see & makes it all worthwhile. I am so pleased with how this has gone that I am already planning Fathers Day gifts....I have a few months to get organised! xx

12.01.2022 How are you?!! I have had a few msgs this week asking if I will be doing something for Mothers Day - & the answer is Yes! I have just spent the last few hours planning, ordering supplies and hopefully in a week or so, I will have samples for you to see. Ive loved watching Masterchef this last week and had the chance to try out the Pistachio & Strawberry Eclair recipe from the first night......just substituting Ruby chocolate for the white chocolate.....it was pretty yum!

10.01.2022 I’m pleased to have been able to start getting Christmas cookies and fudge out to people ready for gifts. Deliveries to Adelaide have taken place and today Iain delivered to Maitland, Moonta & Kadina...I hope you are all happy with them. In between ‘all things Christmas’ I have enjoyed making cakes and other cookies for celebrations. The wonderful dragon cake topper was created by Maddalyn from @sandradillondesign (thank you) and backed by an isomalt flame.

07.01.2022 I had a lovely mix of birthday cakes this week, and some cupcakes for a Teddy Bears Picnic. Not too much spare time to get up to mischief, for which Iain is eternally grateful! I had been keeping the last week of August free to visit our son Ben in Victoria for his birthday, but as that definitely wont be happening now, I am happy to take any orders.

04.01.2022 No pastel colours were harmed in the making of this cake! The bold, beautiful raspberry colour on the outside, reflected the vanilla cake with raspberry filling perfectly. Happy birthday Kendall.
