21.01.2022 A glorious afternoon and we have been stuck inside cooking our hearts out- but have just finished the cleaning up so will be out there soon. Just thought we would post a few photos of our work, so those that have ordered for tomorrow can see what we have done for you! Completed today were the parmigiana meatloaves, the scalloped potatoes and the pumpkin, lentil and cashew curry. Tomorrow, the flourless chocky cakes, the rice and naan bread to go with the curry, plus garnishes... then another week done and dusted. 20.01.2022 Getting in early today with our reminder post as l nearly forgot last week. This weeks menu for your perusal- Our soup is leek, potato and pea with a soda focaccia with red onion, olives and rosemary ( but we can leave the olives off if you don’t like them) it is vegetarian and vegan. ... The other vegetarian dish is a hearty spring vegetable and feta frittata that will come with a herb, sun dried tomato and boccocini pull-apart scroll loaf. Both of these will be our usual price of $40 for 4 serves and $60 for 6. Next is old-fashioned Cornish Pasties with homemade pickle or relish- they will be $8 each For the chocolate lovers, we have Toblerone mousse tarts which are $7 each. 17.01.2022 Hi everyone. Doing this a day early as l know tomorrow will be busy. We have a theme this week, based on more suggestions from you. It is rollin’, rollin’, rollin’. (Rawhide, sound of whip cracking, for those of you who are old enough to understand the reference) All our offerings are rolled obviously. We have-... Two sizes and two varieties of arancini. Pumpkin and feta or spinach and mushroom. Nibble size are $1.20 each, larger ones are $3 each. We can make these gluten free and both are vegetarian. Then meatballs, also two varieties. Satay lamb meatballs with steamed rice or Bolognese meatballs with pasta. $40 for 4 serves, $60 for 6. We can also make these gluten free. 17.01.2022 Hello everyone. Enjoying this lovely day l hope, and happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. Our menu this week has a few repeats and some newbies. The soup is a Matt Moran recipe of chicken, sweet corn and asparagus soup with caramelised onion and cheddar muffins... Lentil, pumpkin and cashew curry which is vegan/vegetarian Accompanied by naan bread. Both of these are $40 for 4 serves, $60 for 6. Then the parmigiana meatloaf which was a big hit last time we offered it. We did individual ones then, but we think this time we will do them in 2 serve foil containers - unless you have your own small baking dish, which we would prefer of course rather than creating more waste but we know not everyone has a suitable size. These will be $20 for 2 serves but of course you can order more than two serves! If you would like scalloped potatoes with them, they will be an extra $2 per serve. For our yummy afters, flourless chocolate dessert cake, which is gluten free.$28 for a whole cake, $7 for individual serves. On offer is the following :... * Festive shortbread (15 pieces) $10 * Mini yo-yo’s (13 pieces) $10 * Chocolate Brandy Cake (A grown up boozy hedgehog stuffed with fruit and nuts!) $20 * Christmas fruit mince pies with an orange pastry $3 ea/$36 dozen * Arancini Balls - Pumpkin & Fetta or Spinach & Mushroom $1.30/$15.60 dozen * Creamy smoked trout pate in a smoked salmon case $10 small (7cm)/$15 large (9cm) * Strawberry pavlova roll $25 We make everything from scratch including our own fruit mince! Then coq au vin, that delicious French favourite of chicken cooked in red wine with onions, bacon and mushrooms Both of the above are $40 for 4 serves, $60 for 6. Our yummy specialty bread is three cheese and sun dried tomato pull apart loaf, with or without olives. $12 each The sweet treat is a chocolate and raspberry brownie, that can be gluten free. $28 for a whole slab, $14 for a half. The menu for this week is- Our soup is New England seafood chowder, this time with a garlic, herb and cheese pull-apart bread Chicken, leek, bacon and sweet corn pie... Red lentil and vegetable lasagna All are $40 for 4 serves and $60 for 6. Dessert is a new recipe l have made a couple of times, curtesy of Annabel Crabbe, a lemon olive oil cake- simply one of the best lemon cakes l have ever made and l have made a lot over the years. Delicious and light with a real zesty flavour. $28 for a whole cake, $7 for individual (Texas muffin size) We are doing most of the main course cooking on a Thursday now, leaving the breads and cakes for Friday. This means we really need people’s containers by Wednesday night or first thing Thursday, especially this week as both the lasagna and pie cannot be transferred. Also when you order, can you indicate if you would like them totally baked, or if you would prefer to bake them fresh when you are going to eat them. Pastitiso- which is a Greek lamb and pasta dish. Similar to a lasagna, but without the layers. Quite delicious! For the vegetarians/ vegans out there or those that are trying to eat less meat, we have chickpea and root vegetable tagine that comes with lemon and parsley couscous All the above are $40 for 4 serves, $60 for 6. Dessert on Friday will be a moist, yummy apple and custard cake. Allotment Pie- which is a blend of green lentils, root and other veggies, all with a crunchy sliced potato topping. This is vegetarian/vegan. Next is a chicken and vegetable casserole with Parmesan dumplings/scone topping.... Both are $40 for 4 serves, $60 for 6. Our specialty bread is a leek, cheese and bacon stuffed focaccia ( or we can leave out the bacon for vegetarian) $12 each Our yummy dessert is a whole orange flourless syrup cake, so gluten free. $25 for a whole cake, or $7 per individual Texas muffin size. Our menu for pickup next Friday- Delicious herbed tomato and sweet potato soup, with crispy mac ‘n’ cheese muffins. Nearly time for soups to end with the weather warming up, so get in this week if you are a soup lover. We can leave out the bacon in the muffins to make it vegetarian if desired.... Jamie Oliver’s pumpkin and spinach Rotolo, which is a bit like a free form lasagna. Fresh lasagna sheets filled with roasted pumpkin, feta and spinach filling, then sliced and put on a bed of homemade tomato sauce, sprinkled with cheese and baked, but that would probably be better done at home when you are going to eat it. Yum, yum. Then Thai green chicken and vegetable curry, served with tumeric rice. All of the above, $40 for 4 serves, $60 for 6. For your sweet treat, white chocolate lemon mousse tartlets.
