25.01.2022 Author of the Rusty Rumble series, Dianne Ellis, is so happy with the wonderful response to her children's picture books.

25.01.2022 Well, I never tire of seeing little children's faces light up when I'm reading my Rusty Rumble books. The children at KU Wombarra Preschool yesterday thoroughly enjoyed listening to Rusty Rumble's Smelly Socks and Rusty Rumble goes Camping. We had a fun game about identifying the Australian animals that were part of my third book too.

25.01.2022 My human writer had a great time last night at the Children's Book Council fundraiser...but I wasn't allowed to attend... I do like her writing buddies though. They allow me to sit on their feet when they come to my place.

24.01.2022 Big congratulations to the NSW Writers' for holding such an interesting Children's and YA Writers' Festival last Saturday. My author said she attended many interesting sessions throughout the day but she was a bit disappointed that her name wasn't drawn out so she could pitch her newest picture book. I told her not to worry about it - after all, it's all about a crocodile wanting to take cooking classes - can you imagine that???

23.01.2022 Enjoyed sharing Rusty Rumble's stories with children at the PJs and Pizza night at Thirroul Library on Friday as part of Education Week. Even my gorgeous 9 month old granddaughter, Mia, enjoyed herself.

22.01.2022 Love this article they wrote about me. Hugs to all my human fans xRusty

20.01.2022 I want to share this with you all. A little girl was selling cupcakes for the RSPCA on the weekend at Austinmer Beach. Of course, Rusty and I approached her and bought some cakes. When she saw me, she excitedly said, ''I have a Rusty Rumble picture book sitting on my book shelf at home...I love it." Then, I recalled presenting her with the book as a prize for her excellent entry in a Book Week competition at a local school some four years ago. She said that even though she reads long novels now, she treasures her RR picture book. This made my heart sing and that's why I love writing stories for children. I can't wait to launch my new book titled 'Mr Crocodile's Cooking Classes' later this year. Can you imagine the fun I'll have with associated craft-making.

20.01.2022 Children enjoyed Rusty Rumble's books at Kids Day Out event during the week. Rusty's face masks were a big hit as well as his paw-printed balloons.

19.01.2022 Rusty was included in the Human Family Exhibition this year held at the Western Sydney Uni, Milperra Campus...it's all about giving a pound dog a good home (just like we did for our Rusty). Doesn't he look cute?

19.01.2022 I wanted to share with you these photos of my favourite beach. It's name is Little Austi (short for Austinmer) and this is where I meet up and socialize with all of my doggy friends. I also receive lots of pats and cuddles from my human friends too. Hope you like these photos. Don't I look cute? Not bad for my 18 years.

18.01.2022 I enjoyed the company of students from Woonona Public School at the Children's Literary Luncheon held this week. There were many interesting readers and writers at my table.

18.01.2022 It's been a cold winter...

17.01.2022 Enjoyed having lunch with students from Austinmer Public School. The Children's Book Council of Australia - Illawarra Division - put on a great day for our young readers/writers. Well done!

15.01.2022 Loved reading 'Rusty Rumble and his Smelly Socks' to children attending Port Macquarie Community Pre-School earlier this month.

14.01.2022 Well, it's official. My 3rd children's book about me of course is about to be launched. My human writer has been very busy organising the publication of this book. But not too busy to give me the attention I need. Stay tuned for details of the upcoming book launch of RUSTY RUMBLE GOES CAMPING. I hope I'll get an opportunity to see you at this book launch. Lots of hugs and wet kisses to you all. Rusty xo xo xo

13.01.2022 Announcing KIDS DAY OUT, a great event, to be held on Wednesday 18th January 2017 from 10am to 2pm at Dapto Ribbonwood Centre. 13.01.2022 Had a great day on Thursday at Kids Day Out held at Thirroul Library when I read my two Rusty Rumble books to some enthusiastic pre-schoolers.

13.01.2022 Rusty Rumble's Day at the Beach, a brightly pictured book for children up to six years, will be launched on Sat 3 November at Jack and the Beanstalk Bookstore, Thirroul (opp. Thirroul library) from 10am - 1pm. Come along and meet the author, Dianne Ellis, who will be personally autographing books, selling at $15 each. And to make the book extra special, Rusty's paw print will be stamped next to the author's. Rusty Rumble's first book (Rusty Rumble and his Smelly Socks) will also be available for purchase, same price, on the day. What a great Xmas pressie for loved ones from a local author living in Austinmer!

09.01.2022 Last week my human writer gave a talk to children at Austinmer Public School about writing and imagination. I wish I could have been there. At least she took me for a long walk later that day so I forgave her, as I always do.

09.01.2022 It was such fun reading my books to a fabulous audience of little readers at the Kids Day Out earlier this year. A big thank you to the CBCA for organising this great day. Happy reading everyone!

06.01.2022 This album is all about pooches who have been rescued and given a home. Rusty, being one of these special dogs, with the blue wings, loved meeting his doggy friends at the exhibition.

06.01.2022 Looking forward to sharing my stories with children at Dapto Ribbonwood Centre for the Kids Day Out on Wednesday 18 January 2017 from 9.15am for registration. There'll be authour and illustrator workshops, rhythm and rhyme poetry, storytelling, reading tent dress-ups and book signings and sales. The day is FREE and it's all about promoting literacy in our children. So hop on board and pass the word about this great event.

06.01.2022 A Book Launch for 'Rusty Rumble Goes Camping' will be held at Thirroul Library on Friday, 27 November 2015 at 10am. Excerpts of my three books can be seen on www.diannellisbooks.com. My books can be purchased for $15 each or buy the three-book series for $40. I'm taking orders for Christmas now and you can place your orders via: [email protected]. Let me know who your books are for and I'll autograph a personal message, along with my writer of course

06.01.2022 Kids Day Out this year was a great success thanks to the Children's Book Council of Australia, Illawarra Division, for arranging this huge annual event. My three books were a hit with the children who attended my book readings and craft session. I wanted to share with you something that my smart human writer made for the craft activity at the KDO. The paper puppet of my head is cute, I admit...but not as cute as the real me...yours Rusty xxxxxxxx

05.01.2022 My human writer is heading to the CBCA Literary Lunch tomorrow to share my story. I wish I could come.

05.01.2022 My Rusty Rumble were a hit at the Kids Day Out held at Dapto today. I loved the messages that the children wrote in their cards. Well done and lots of sloppy kisses from me

05.01.2022 Free Kids Day Out event at Dapto Library on Wednesday 20th January 2016, 10am to 2.30pm. Author readings, craft activities, dress-ups and lots of fun...promoting literary in our children. Please pass this message along.

04.01.2022 I've had a great time reading my books to little ones, particularly at Port Macquarie Community Pre-School last year. Thank you for my lovely thank you poster from all the children.

03.01.2022 Loved sharing my books with children at Hastings Public School in Port Macquarie. I'm sure Rusty was a big hit!

02.01.2022 My first road trip was quite an experience. It took a few days to get used to the big white van constantly following me while I snoozed away in my cosy car bed. It was a real bonus catching up with the Rumbles, my book family. Lots of cuddles and company... Funny though! I heard lots of strange barking coming from Jack, then a few days later, Mrs Rumble started with the weird barking too. Eventually, the barking spread to all my family members. We stayed put in Port Macquarie for the whole time so I never got to experience sunny Queensland. But, I didn't mind...I just chilled out trying to make them all feel better and giving them lots of love...
