20.01.2022 PLEASE NOTE- as of this Monday 3rd Feb due to Medicare reclassification of our area from Regional to City, medicare rebates for bulkbilled patients were cut by 7.1%. Therefore we have had no choice but to move away from being a Bulk Billing Practice. There will be a charge for consultations. This must be paid at the time of consultation, and the patient will receive an immediate Medicare refund at the time as applicable. Please note we have reduced fees for:... Pensioners Disabled Children 15 and under. Only Please ensure any concession and medicare cards are presented and up to date at each consultation to receive any concession / medicare rebates. Please note preventative health such as Cervical screening, childhood immunisations, will continue to be bulk billed. 04.01.2022 IMPORTANT PRACTICE UPDATE Please see our Covid 19 Precautions as at March 23rd. *No walk-ins will be allowed as we need to be vigilant at initial triaging of patients and symptoms prior to attending. * Patients are allowed ONE support person if needed with them into the practice.... *We are asking patients to check in at reception and then wait outside to minimise people in close contact . * If you arrive early to your appointment you will be required to wait outside. * Telephone consultations will be preferred for the following at risk patients : aged 70 years and over. Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander patients aged 50 years or over. pregnant women. parents with newborns. patients required to isolate under the Covid-19 guidelines. patients with diabetes, COPD, asthma, cancer and other chronic health conditions (as determined by your GP). patients who are immunocompromised. Please note doctors cannot provide clearance notes for Covid-19 for work or schools. As per guidelines you are to stay home if you have cold /flu symptoms until the symptoms subside or if they get worse to telephone your GP for advice. There is also a government health helpline number below for general advice . 1800 020 080 * Social distancing IS mandatory at all times whilst at the practice. We will keep you updated on the changes that we implement in the practice. The measures introduced are to keep our staff and patients safe and ensuring minimal possible exposure to our at risk patients.

02.01.2022 WELCOME TO OUR NEW DOCTOR. Dr Ambareesh Mohan joins the team with a wealth of experience as a GP, flying doctor and rescue helicopter doctor. Dr Mohan is now taking new patients NOTE- We are a mixed billing practice. We only bulk bill patients with current Concession/ Pension/ Health Care cards, children 15yrs and under and certain preventative health appointments such as cervical screening, careplans.... If you are new to the area or looking for a local doctor please give the surgery a call.
