07.01.2022 2019/2020 has been one of the busiest years in VICSES history with our volunteers responding to more than 27,000 requests in Victoria for assistance. Every day members throw on orange overalls to support communities in their time of need. Show your support for SES members by dressing in orange and posting a message to social media with the hashtag #ThankYouSESandWOWDay Stay safe and well during these unprecedented times.

We desperately need new volunteers to keep our unit viable - we are looking for a computer guru (secretarial duties, BAS data entry etc) community liaison officer, radio operator, Duty Officer as well as operational members. All training is free, protective clothing supplied - we just need your time (2 hours on a Tuesday night plus call out duties when you are available) If you can see yourself in orange please contact us ASAP

01.01.2022 A very quiet and eerie Anzac morning in the fog at RSL park when I went to lay a wreath on behalf of Rutherglen SES after an early morning at the front gate with a light and next door a family with their young children standing quietly to show respect for fallen servicemen and women of WW1.#lestweforget
