20.01.2022 I'm sure most of the lash artists have had situations where clients extensions fall off the next day.. Ohhh I remember the frustration I had at first And the clients assume that it's the technician fault, but not always! Here's and blog article by @lashandbrowdirectory, explaining on why lashes might fall off the next day.... the glue has semi cured before it was placed onto the lash. This can happen with new technicians that are still working on their speed and the glue is a little quick. This can also happen if the conditions are not correct in the treatment room - i.e temperature and humidity. Client takes medication. Some medications interfere with the retention of lashes. Trichotillomania - a condition which sees some individuals constantly pulling out their hair and eyelashes. So if client is a picker, they are not going to lash being fiddled with constantly. Client sleeps with her gorgeous face smooshed into the pillow! The friction will see lashes popping of quickly. When client gets really watering eyes during the application, the glue can become "shock cured" with too much moisture and they'll pop off within a couple of days. Unfortunately this just happens to some people as soon as anyone or anything is neat their eyes. Sometimes it is just the individuals body chemistry.. Everything could be perfect but client just can't hold them.. This post is not to "blame" anyone if this happens but help technicians find a reason why lashes may have fallen off. It might be stressful for client and the technician both. It is important that client lets her technician know that it has happen and then client and technician can do some troubleshooting. If you are a client - please contact your technician and give her a change to fix things.
