03.01.2022 PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE THIS POST, THANK YOU Kill the Clutter! Winter is the perfect time to attack the household clutter. On chilly, rainy days make the most of your cosy indoors and have a clean-up. The following handy hints may help begin your journey to a relaxed, less cluttered home. 1. Set aside a block of uninterrupted time to begin. Put inspiring music on if you wish.... 2. Choose a particular part of your house to attack, a small space to start is a good idea. 3. Have empty containers marked Rubbish, Recycle, Remove and Remain for the following purposes: Rubbish - place broken, out of date, or ‘no value items’ in here ex: empty toothpaste tube Recycle - for items no longer usable in your home but of value to someone else ex: wrong size clothing. Return - items that need to be returned to the proper place ex: toys on the kitchen floor to the toy box Remain - items that you wish to keep and are regularly used and of value 4. Starting with one drawer (or cupboard) empty contents onto a bench or old sheet. 5. Clean the empty drawer/ cupboard and leave to air and dry. 6. Attack the contents by picking up each item and making a decision as to which on the four containers it goes into. Decide quickly, your first response is usually the best. 7. Throw the Rubbish out 8. Recycle to friends or the op shop the next box. 9. Return the misplaced items to where they belong. And finally, 10. Place the contents from your Remain box back into the cupboard and display appropriately. It’s as simple as that!
