20.01.2022 It was a time of new beginnings when Charlotte Anderson gathered her youngest students around her for one of the first photographs of Ruyton, taken sometime in the early-mid 1880s. Mrs Anderson, who founded Ruyton in 1878, is seated in the centre, noticeable for her white cap. Beside her sits teacher Lilian Irving. The image was probably taken at ‘Edgecomb’ in Studley Park Road, where Ruyton was located 1882-1888. 20.01.2022 Earlier in the year when learning about Australian Indigenous culture our Year 2 girls shared the Acknowledgement of Country and paid respect to the traditional land owners of our School, and to elders past, present and emerging. They explored the meaning of Reconciliation and working together to heal experiences. 07.01.2022 Year 8 students thoroughly enjoyed creating their own Escape Rooms as part of the 2020 End of Year Programme. Visitors were transported to log cabins, outer space, Aztec ruins, art galleries, ancient China and Egypt, Santa's workshop and many other creative spaces.
