09.01.2022 In a time of old (pre-Covid19 lockdown, September 2019), Alan from Victoria contacted us to service the off the grid camping power needs, of his decked-out Landrover Discovery. In these current times, when one can not cross the borders, Alan has taken some down-time to touch base with us and send some pics of THE LITHIUM BOX set up in his rig. All Anderson outlets are in use... running the fridge, water pump, UHF Radio and supplying the Roof Top tent lights and 12V fittings.... The auto elecs in Eltham did a great job of running all of the specified gauge wiring and the external Anderson connections on the tow bar allow connection to the roof top tent mounted atop the Disco, as well as taking feeds from the 200W Solar blanket. The inverter keeps our Milwaukee power tools (blower and saw) charged up as well. We have had several camping trips and are very happy with the unit... it serves us well. We are preparing for a 6 months road trip around Oz next year... perhaps we should call by the factory when in WA Alan purchased THE LITHIUM BOX 100Ah with pre-installed 40A Redarc Vehicle/Solar Charger, Victron 375VA Inverter, along with a KT Solar 200W Solar Blanket and Victron Blue Smart IP65 12/10 Charger with DC Connector. Wed love a visit when those borders open and you can get that Oz road trip underway, Alan! Until then, keep planning, preparing, stay safe and well.

04.01.2022 Steven's VW Transporter Camper was consistently running out of power in an effort to run a Waeco upright fridge, using a 100Ah AGM Battery powered ArkPak, Matson 25A Charger & EP Solar Charger. Steven opted to go with a Lithium battery system upgrade after discussing the Pro's & Con's of AGM & Lithium, so we built and installed "THE LITHIUM BOX" 100Ah with 40A Redarc BCDC 1240D Vehicle and Solar Charger. "THE LITHIUM BOX" is a complete portable Lithium Battery System featurin...g: Master Battery Switch An RV Lithium Systems (LiFePO4) Battery with Cell Balancing and Cell Protection Automatic 100A Low Battery State of Charge or Voltage Disconnect of accessory power sockets and Automatic Reconnect once the battery has received adequate charge Internal Fusing and Output Short Circuit Protection 50A Anderson Plug for Vehicle Charging Input 50A Anderson Plug for Solar Charging Input 2 x Anderson Plug for Power Output on the front (50A max each) 2 x Anderson Plug for Power Output on the rear (16A max each) 1 x Twin USB Outlet (4.2A max) 1 x Cig Socket (16A max) 2 x Engel / Waeco / ARB / Merit Sockets - your choice! This additional plug piggy backs off the front Grey Anderson Plug so the total combined output between the two is 50A. Steven's system includes: A 17A 240V Victron IP67 battery charger mounted to "THE LITHIUM BOX" A 375 VA Victron Inverter for powering 240V appliances AND IT ALL FITS IN THE SAME SPACE AS THE OLD ARKPAK!
