23.01.2022 A little fun for a Friday

22.01.2022 I’ve been a bit quiet online lately, and have a few things to share. What have I been up to? I’ve been busy chasing the airlines for some outstanding refunds for my lovely clients who have been so patient in awaiting them for a number of months now. I’m pleased to say that I only have a handful still to resolve.... I’ve also been rearranging bookings for my clients who have had to change destination, or postpone their plans. Most of these are sorted out now too. Where and when can we travel? We got some fantastic news yesterday, with Tasmania announcing it was opening it’s borders to the majority of states as of 26 October. Lord Howe Island and Norfolk Island both opened as of 2 October, which is also great news. You can travel to either with a quarantine free arrival. Quarantine on your return home will be dependent on your states rules. There is talk of international travel ‘bubbles’, which is very exciting news. If you have any questions about where you can travel and the requirements to do so, please get in touch. What happens going forward? A number of travel suppliers are offering great deals on domestic travel, and some of the international suppliers are being quite flexible with regards to deposits and deposit protection. Things are finally looking up a little on the travel front. It will be a long time before we are all back to normal, but we are taking some small steps in the right direction. You can support our domestic tourism industry by booking a local getaway. There’s never been a better time to explore all of the amazing places that wer are lucky enough to have on our doorstep.
