20.01.2022 MY NEW ROLE... For the last few months Ive had a ball in a new role Digital Communications Coordinator for the State Sport Centres Trust based at MSAC - Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre. The State Sport Centres Trust is a statutory authority responsible for governing the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre (MSAC), State Netball Hockey Centre (SNHC), Lakeside Stadium (LS) and the MSAC Institute of Training (MIT).... As Digital Communications Coordinator, its my responsibility to tell the story of the venues, their tenants, events, programs and customers including athletes, sporting organisations, and community members - of which there are many - across the online space! Ive had the great opportunity in the first few months to share the stories from a broad range of events, sports and athletesincluding a project to highlight athletes for which MSAC particularly has played a key part in their sporting journey for the venues 20th birthdaythe ongoing #MSAC20 interviews. Ive spoken to current and former Olympians, Paralympians, Commonwealth Games, National and State representative athletes... some legends in their sports. Follow what we have going on here: www.instagram.com/MSAC_Vic If youre ever training, competing or recovering at any of these venues... particularly MSAC - make sure you let me know!

18.01.2022 Definitely a huge week this week. Was great to be back at Billanook College talking about the importance of building a positive online identity and digital footprint, this time with the Year 9s. #ShineOnline

17.01.2022 Social media managers rejoice! I just posted my first Instagram photo from the desktop! What a world! Not straight forward but still simple! :-)

17.01.2022 It was great to be back among the traders of Fairfield Village last night delivering a Facebook and Instagram Workshop thanks to the Fairfield Traders Association and Darebin City Council at XSiGHT Photography & Video. A great group of enthusiastic business owners ready to help build an online community around their physical store! #LoveFairfield #ShineOnline

16.01.2022 "Dont say throwback Thursday," says Dylan Smith, 16, from Maryland, U.S.. "People only use hashtags ironically now."

15.01.2022 Why I think Instagram first. When deciding what type of social communications content Ill create and share with my community, I have begun to think Instagram first. Even if the post is for LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook... any other platform. ... Going through the process of imagining it on Instagram forces me to consider an engaging image, or short video, that tells a great story through visual first, then caption, then other elements such as tags, hashtags, links... Creating for Instagram first, makes adapting that content to other platforms, either directly or in a modified version, so much easier. It also ensures you are always leading with telling the story with visuals.

13.01.2022 Excellent online reputation and positive personal branding session today with the SEDA College VIC BV Burwood group. Thanks to Rich and the attentive students. They really do experience some amazing things each week and was great to help them with telling that story through their social media. #ShineOnline #bvburwoodexp #sedaexperience SEDA Group

13.01.2022 There are always some amazing social media finds/mistakes during and after the NBA draft. This one is noteworthy coming from the overall #1 pick. He didnt check his caption before posting... not the first influencer to take it less than seriously... but could have been worse! Shoutout to New England Patriots on 247Sports for featuring my tweet in their story: http://nep.247sports.com//Markelle-Fultz-forgets-to-add-Si

12.01.2022 Youre not too young to #ThinkBeforeYouPost.

12.01.2022 A suggestion/idea to athletes looking for new avenues to get your story out there and introduce yourselves to a new, but relevant audience: Talk to the places you train, compete and recover at to see if theyre interested in creating a social media / news post about you. Ive been working for a few sports venues in Melbourne (MSAC, Lakeside Athletic Stadium, and the State Netball & Hockey Centre) for a couple of months and have been able to meet and tell many athlete storie...s on their social channels: www.instagram.com/MSAC_Vic Here is an audio post I did about the above idea. Please reach out if youre ever training, competing or recovering at any of the above venues, as Id love to chat! https://soundcloud.com//athletes-create-content-with-venues

12.01.2022 Navigating negativity on social media is not easy. Dont suffer alone. My quick thoughts on the story below.

12.01.2022 Put your best image first, remember its square... and dont forget to share!... Make the most of Instagrams Image Carousel (photo gallery) option with these tips: https://ryanmobilia.com//make-the-most-of-instagrams-imag/

12.01.2022 Another great time presenting at the VCE and Careers Expo last week, my third straight year ‘helping students to use social media to build a positive reputation and shine online’! I always enjoy the variety of the audience, and the questions and different elements that resonate with the weekday seminars to mostly students, and the weekend ones to mostly parents. This was also the first time I had multiple kids ask for a selfie afterwards... Shout-out to the very friendly Glen Eira Secondary College VCE gang! #ShineOnline

11.01.2022 What an awesome message to receive last night! So happy to see Aussie PGA golfer Glenn Paul Golf putting some of the ideas and recommendations I put together for him into action and starting to shine online! 03.01.2022 What a fun time that was

02.01.2022 A great week talking social media and online reputation with SA Country Basketball in Albury at Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup and then back in Melbourne at Southern Cross Basketball Challenge.

02.01.2022 Fun morning amongst the TAB machines and just about every Victorian VCE student at the VCE and Careers Expo at Caulfield Race Course. Loved chatting to the kids and teachers at my session, thanks for the photo and support Alexia and Chris of Study and Play USA great to catch up.

01.01.2022 There have been a number of people caught-out lately forgetting which account they are logged in as on social media. Often its the professional account that gets confused for the very private alias account. #ThinkBeforeYouPost

01.01.2022 Was lucky to spend an hour last week speaking at the Victorian PR, Media and Communications Student Forum PRMC Student Forum sharing my tips on how university students can utilize their online and social media presence to help them get employment opportunities. It was actually broken up into 5x 10 min Speed sessions across the hour... so I very briefly met some great students from Swinburne, VU, and Deakin (including seeing some great former students of mine again!)... thanks to Ross Monaghan theMediaPod for the opportunity again and this picture... I do love helping others to shine online!

01.01.2022 Hashtags on Instagram and Twitter are so under-utilised. How many do I use on accounts Im trying to build? Like www.instagram.com/MobsCave ? As many as I am allowed!
