20.01.2022 SHARKS! Last week I was interviewed on the ABC Drive program regards the shark problem that in my view appears to be getting worse! Love to hear your thoughts in the comments. 20.01.2022 Using Fingermark techniques worked well in Moreton Bay on this little guy. Pity the tide gave us such a short fishing window as I found some great ground with good fish on it. Definitely worth a trip back down on the neaps.

17.01.2022 Fishing the Fitzroy last week. Wow what a river system. Serious storm activity and a drop in water temp when we arrived didn’t do us any favours but we managed a few fish the best being this 90 in the town reaches. Where else can you fly in, check in and be fishing a net free zone for beauties like this, all within an hour of arriving! Some serious stonkers in the river (the Sounder made my mouth water) and we lost a few over 1.20 just through bad luck and tentative bites. Th...at said we know of 5 over a metre caught while we were there using live bait within minutes of the town centre. We spent a few good days exploring the river and Port Alma and it’s one of the best places to contend with $1.30+ fish that I’ve seen. They’re there! You just got to catch them! 10.01.2022 Well barra season in Qld is over for another year but before we go, we just had to post this clip of Mason catching his first barra. 08.01.2022 When you get the motherload bait collecting, carefully and quickly release the excess including the less desirable species we often get. It’s a pain and can shorten fishing time but these small critters are the foundation of our fish stocks. All too often I see hundreds of dead leftovers from cast net throws and it’s wastage the environment can no longer support. Consider future generations and dispose of bait collecting excess thoughtfully. #castnetcare #reducewaste
