Thi...s follows yesterday’s immobilisation of machines by a tree-sitter in the same logging compartment that halted logging all day. The brave koala shares, This community has been fighting to protect Wild Cattle Creek State Forest for over three decades. While many will say this is a radical action, I know it is an obligation. It should be everyone’s obligation to stand up for country. FCNSW have no social license, no cultural license and fail to oblige by their own weak regulations, as we saw as recently as last year in this very forest. There have been many forests across NSW that have been protected through community direct action. The power has never been with the politicians or corporations, it has always been in the strength of the people. The health of these forests and the planet is only ours to lose.

08.01.2022 Healthy Rivers Dubbo to highlight Gin Gin Damn proposal at upcoming meeting Taylor Dodge Daily Liberal 14/6 The proposed Gin Gin re-regulating dam on the Macqua...rie River made by Healthy Rivers Dubbo will be the topic at its upcoming public meeting. Members of the public are encouraged to bring all of their questions about the impacts the proposal would have on the river, the marshes and all of the people and wildlife that rely on them, to the meeting. Healthy Rivers Dubbo convenor Melissa Gray said the proposal is expected to reduce water downstream for unregulated irrigation and have a serious impact on populations of native fish. "There has been increasing calls for Mp Dugald Saunders and the NSW Nationals to release the business case to the public once it is complete," she said. "What are they trying to hide?" "The Gin Gin dam would be a massive $84 million subsidy to the irrigated cotton industry. The meeting will run on Wednesday, June 23 from 6.30pm at the Pastoral Hotel.
