11.01.2022 Make the most of the time you have at home but be careful of the sources from whom you obtain information about health issues. Well-meaning friends/ trainers/ youtubers etc. offering advice on how to manage pain can be downright dangerous. Their unqualified advice can not only make your problems worse but can overlook serious health issues - some of which can be fatal.... From a health professional’s perspective, these forms of generalised advice are a compilation of ignorance, Wikipedia, if it worked for me it will work for everyone, or often just a misinterpretation of research data (misinterpreted because they don’t understand it properly). Stay safe by having health issues diagnosed by a health professional and never train whilst in pain. Professional footballers and athletes are forbidden to return to play until they are fully recovered. How can you identify a health professional? 1. They’re registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency). 2. You can claim for part of their fees through Medicare or your health fund. 3. They have university qualifications which can be viewed at their place of practice or are easy to find via the internet. Some have Bachelor’s degrees and others have more advanced and more specialised Master’s degrees. Others have proceeded further to become researchers. 4. Qualified health professionals will NEVER offer you advice about pain you are suffering without a full medical history and physical examination. They may refer you for xrays or other tests as well. Can you imagine a surgeon cutting into your body without examining you extensively and having extremely detailed imaging ? Do you think a chiropractor would adjust your joints without knowing whether or not the source of your pain could be a spinal cord tumour or you could have brittle bones due to osteoporosis ? If you answered no then you’re getting the message ! Pain can come from a variety of sources: muscle tendons, muscle belly, ligaments, nerve damage, joint capsules, meninges, nerve roots, myofascia, bursae, dermis, neoplasms and benign tumours, disc lesions, psychosomatic.

07.01.2022 Dr. Sharon Wardle can help to remove pain and muscle spasm which interferes with your concentration. Relaxing chiropractic massage, corrective adjustments and postural advice are part of every treatment. Regular checkups help to prevent recurrence of symptoms and are well worth making time for. #macquariecentre #osteopathy #massage #chiropractic #fitness #healthylifestyle #gym #relaxation #fitnessmotivation #workout #bodybuilding #sportsmassage #gymmotivation #macquarieuniversity #wellness #strength #rehab #getfit #nervepain #corporatewellness #corporatehealth #goalsetting #healthgoals #sleep #concentration #energy #posture #football #FIFA #ergonomics
