25.01.2022 The AGM of Ryde Eisteddfod was held on Wednesday 4th March and the new committee appointed - all set to go on making Eisteddfod 2020 even bigger and better than Eisteddfod 2019.

14.01.2022 New Look, New Competitors How unexciting to begin by talking about an annual general meeting but that is part of a ‘new look’ for the City of Ryde Eisteddfod. Unlike previous years the AGM, to be held on 4 March 2020, will begin the calendar year to encourage people to join in the organisation for the current 12 months. Despite the changes, the format of the July to September competitions will remain the same. Entries are open online and are coming in strongly alread...y right across all the disciplines of Choral, Dance, Instrumental, Speech and Drama, Seniors and Vocal. With a new school opening in the area we are hoping to continue a trend towards new entrants, particularly in the school events. The Eisteddfod supports the Heart of Ryde development as it will provide excellent facilities for its performers. Many former competitors have gone on to achieve to significant international acclaim. Just imagine the increased potential for the future when the new cultural spaces are completed! However, for this year, events will be running in the usual venues, staffed by a small army of volunteers, and fostering talent both locally and across Sydney.
