25.01.2022 What did everyone do on there Saturday? We got a start on Phoenixs Intercooler pipes, using all Titanium pie cuts and mandrels. One of the straightest with the least radius we have been able to achieve with a twist mount turbo. Yes we switched manifolds too, we also had to do a lot of fab to get that manifold to fit under the hood using our phenolic spacers. 02.01.2022 Saving weight in your race car When you’re looking to build a race car one really important factor is weight. We have been experimenting with a battery relocation kit to find some option where we can reduce the usual extra weight you end up adding. We all know the AWG wire weighs more than most mountains but there are options. How about aircraft power wire which uses a copper coated aluminium. We just assembled our battery earth which is fairly thick 2g. With ring terminal...s it came in at an astonishing 98 grams, imagine running standard 2g from the boot to the starter and relay, you’ve just packed in another 6-8kg depending on the brand.
