25.01.2022 Barney is now officially a lightweight racer with the addition of new bonnet straps and aluminium bonnet hinges from the good folk at DSN Classics. We figure each hinge hole offers at least 1bhp. The update was, however, necessary following Barneys mouth becoming wide open at speed on a recent hot run to freezing Oberon.

With such a long history of continuous events, the Nationals are an institution loved by Mini folk across the country. This year has been pretty dark for so many, but the lights are on for 2021!

12.01.2022 The Walsh family dont do things by halves. In fact, they see double! The family are deep into what they are calling "The Race to Rylstone", preparing TWO x 1965 Minis for this years Classic. The MJW Mini Garage is a family affair with Joel and his dad, along with Mel and kids, all labouring around the clock since April to turn the two cars out for August. Will they get there? 05.01.2022 Were in the process of building our COVID Safety Plan (CSP) to help make sure we keep our competitors and the public as safe as possible during the 2020 Rylstone Classic. Its super handy that a Mini is just under 1.5m wide!

04.01.2022 As we continue our focus on delivering a COVID Safe event for 2020, working within the Return to Motorsport guidelines recently released by Motorsport Australia, weve made the decision to streamline some areas of this years event. Sadly, our new Works Teams Championship will be put on ice for this year and we hope to feature this exciting new competitive element of the Rylstone Classic in 2021. Stay tuned for updates in coming weeks as we release our COVID Safety Plan (CSP) and advise on some further changes to our normal procedures.

04.01.2022 CANCELLED: It is with a heavy heart that today we announce the cancellation of the 2020 Rylstone Classic. We have made it clear that our intention has always been to deliver a COVID Safe event, developing a COVID Safety Plan and altering the event format to ensure we mitigate the risk that Coronavirus presents to our competitors and the broader community. While satisfied that our event complied with all necessary legal requirements, running the event in 2020 now does not pas...s the simple logic test. As Victoria continues to battle a second wave and parts of New South Wales are seeing escalations in case numbers, the right thing to do is to cancel the event and focus on our individual contributions towards keeping our community COVID Safe. With government advice now against any unnecessary travel, our field of 380+ competitors presents a risk to the broader community. For those who have supported and sponsored the 2020 event, we thank you. Your enthusiasm to see our event proceed has kept us going. We are therefore delighted to announce that the 10th anniversary Rylstone Classic is now planned for 21-22 August 2021.
