10.01.2022 Earlier this week our Control Room detected a Fire Alarm at a home in Canberra’s North. The quick action of our Control Room Team identified that the residence was that of an elderly couple who had been unwell and taken to hospital. In haste to get medical attention the customer had inadvertently left the stove switched on when leaving the house. The prompt dispatch of our Patrols team and the ACT Fire Brigade seen our Patrols staff arrive on-site to a smouldering fire which ...was poised to cause major damage to the property. Our Patrol Officer was and able to avert the fire from taking hold prior to the Fire Brigade’s arrival. The swift action of our Control Room Operators and Patrol staff helped to prevent this customer from potentially losing their house to this fire or experiencing major damage. We received exceptional feedback and thankyou from the customer shortly after the event, who was extremely grateful. We thank our dedicated Control Room and Patrol Team for the response.
