22.01.2022 Adoption day cancelled due to extreem heat today

22.01.2022 Hi All I do hope you are all keeping your bunnies cool and inside out of this heat. Now just an update we have been innundatted with rescue and surrender buns since the beginning of the year and as we are a NO KILL shelter we dont just green dream to make more room. So please be understanding that we are very full and in fact Sue has only just got hepr lounge room back and I am not going to cause her to loose it again. Lol I have been getting between a min of 4 to 27 surrender enquiries daily. I am starting to think these buns are a result of covid impulse buying but who knows for the life of me I would not give up my pet for some if the reasons we are given. If however you must give up your bunny feel free to advertise on this page. I will share once I have approved it and buns do find good homes from our members. LUV YOUR BUNS FOLKS

19.01.2022 Hot weather allert for SA please remember that rabbits do not like hot weather this weeks westher is 30 degrees and above so please bring rabbits indoors. Frozen bottles last a few hours but not a whole day, water in bowls and bottles can bevome hot and rabbits will only drink cool water so please make sure cool water is always available. Just to remind everyone our pets are dependant on us so if you dont offer them summer heat protection they will die. During our last hestwave we had 67 distressed owners call with rabbits with heat stroke and most of these died. Please be a good bunny owner and bring buns inside.

Due to the heat we have decided on this Monday and Tuesday as these days are under 30 degrees 10am- 2pm with evenings by arrangemen dates 23-24th Nov .Please book your visit with Sue on 82636432 to meet some lovely bunnies. Covid and social distancing rules will still be adheaeed too.

09.01.2022 Black bunny lovers unite! Sadly they're the second hardest to adopt out (white bunnies with ruby eyes linger in shelters the longest). People tell us they're ba...d luck or not as cute or it's hard to take their photo for Instagram. Sigh. But honestly, they're so wonderful with their sleek, glossy black fur and besides, everyone knows black's very slimming. Share a photo of your black bunny and show the world how lucky you are to have one in your life!
