23.01.2022 2020 Eisteddfod Update (APRIL 2020) The SASDS committee would like to advise that we are continuing to closely monitor the latest health recommendations and government mandates regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic. At this time, we have made the decision to continue to monitor the situation until such time that a final decision needs be made on if the 2020 Eisteddfod can take place.... As it has always been, our focus is to cultivate, promote and encourage dance; to provide an Eisteddfod where the talents of our many dancers can be showcased and to generally elevate dance as a valuable and positive part of business life, working life and community lifestyle. More than ever, we know this will be true in 2020. If the Eisteddfod can take place, it may look a little different for 2020 BUT we will do everything we can to try to provide a chance for everyone to dance in some way. As such, entries will not open before early July as we continue to monitor the situation. The dates and location for the 2020 Eisteddfod remain the same SAT 26 SEPT SUN 4 OCT 2020 at PRINCE ALFRED COLLEGE.... There are some important changes to the way we are running the Eisteddfod to ensure the health and safety of all of our competitors, teachers, parents, families, community and volunteers. 16.01.2022 2020 Eisteddfod Update. With the rapidly changing situation around the COVID-19 Pandemic the SASDS committee would like to advise that we are closely monitoring the latest health recommendations and government mandates. At this time, as our event is not scheduled to start until late September, we do not have any plans to cancel or amend the 2020 Eisteddfod. Be assured that we will continue to closely monitor this over the coming weeks and months as the event draws nearer.... Whilst we had planned to open for Troupe entries from Monday March 30 and Solo/Duo/Trio entries from Friday May 15, in light of the current unprecedented environment we will postpone these dates until a clearer picture of the situation evolves over the coming weeks.
