05.01.2022 We have recently published an article where we used nutrient implants to investigate possible causes of 'Mundulla Yellows' in roadside eucalypts in south east South Australia. We observed significant improvements in the health and 'greenness' of the trees which recieved iron supplements. This supports the theory that Mundulla Yellows is likely caused by nutrient deficiency. However, we point out that nutrient implants are not a long term 'cure' for Mundulla Yellows. We need to invest energy into replacing these important trees through tree planting and encouraging eucalypt regeneration.
