25.01.2022 What are trichomes? . "The actual definition of trichome is fine outgrowths or appendages on plants, algae, lichens, and certain protists. Originating from th...e Greek word Tríchma, meaning growth of hair, these tiny microscopic mushroom-looking protuberances look like something out of a science fiction novel. But they are actually the very factories that produce the hundreds of known cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids that make our favorite cannabis strains potent, unique, and effective. . The production of trichomes can be observed in many species of plants throughout nature, taking on various physical forms as well as serving many different purposes. For example, trichomes found on some carnivorous plants aid in helping to catch prey. . In cannabis, trichomes function as a defense mechanism. When female cannabis plants begin to produce flowers in the wild, they often become vulnerable to various insects and animals as well as non-living environmental variables such as potentially harmful UV rays. Trichomes serve as a deterrent for animals because their bitter taste and strong aromas render cannabis flowers unpalatable. At the same time, they also serve a dual function in protecting their plants from damaging winds and even some varieties of fungal growth." Leafly . Conjoined Lava Cake trichomes. 19.01.2022 South Australia - "Kind of says it all, no longer affected but still can be fined. Imagine an ad, if you drink with dinner you can still be fined the next day e...ven though you are sober? Interesting that Adelaide University did a full testing of drivers while straight and stoned, as have many countries, the findings are hidden because stoned drivers adapted and were still considered capable and safe. 19.01.2022 For the South Australians ... LegaliSe would be preferable Legalising Cannabis IMMEDIATELY for medical, recreational, fibre, textile, fuel and food usage would create a BRAND NEW TAXABLE INDUSTRY for our state/country. Since Colorado legalised recreational use, they have collected over ONE BILLION DOLLARS of state revenue in 5 years. Keep in mind that is just recreational Cannabis and does not include revenue from medicinal crops, by-product fibre, hemp seed etc. Colorado h...as a population of 5.8 million people. When hemp was legalised, it only had a population of 5.4 million people. A population the size of Canberra moved to Colorado, creating a massive stimulus to the state economy. The psychological health benefits of creating a brand new industry for South Australia / Australia will far outweigh any negative health impacts from Cannabis itself. Getting our COVID19 debt under control means we can continue to fund our magnificent health system ... there are other benefits too. Textile and fibre creation will STORE CARBON. It will make us less reliant on imports. Hemp uses a FRACTION OF THE WATER cotton uses, freeing up more water for food crops AND the environment in the Murray Darling Basin. There are so many benefits in creating this BRAND NEW INDUSTRY. LEGALISE CANNABIS NOW!!! See more

10.01.2022 There remains an entrenched (although now fading) prejudice toward cannabis, having been branded as a slippery slope into psychotic illness.
10.01.2022 Gold Coasters are needed to take part in a trial studying the effectiveness of medicinal cannabis. A big change is also on the way, as certain products could be available over the counter in pharmacies as soon as next year. #9News | Weeknights at 5.30pm

05.01.2022 The rising tide: Australia simply can’t afford to prop up this failed prohibition on cannabis, said HEMP Party secretary Andrew Kavasilas. The benefits are immense and now measurable in places like the Netherlands, and some American states. This is especially so, in Canada where they became the first country in the world to openly and willingly defy the UN drug treaties by regulating and taxing adult use of cannabis, he told Sydney Criminal Lawyers. While the Netherland...s has tolerated the adult use of cannabis and permitted its sale in cafes since 1976, it’s really been the last decade that has seen cannabis law reform spread across the globe. South Africa has decriminalised private adult use, Georgia legalised personal use and possession, while Uruguay became the first country to legalise recreational use and sales in 2013. And dozens of nations have also legalised medicinal cannabis use, at least in part. Reaping the benefits: However, it’s the legalised and regulated recreational markets in North America that have really seen the profits roll in. Canada launched its nationwide cannabis market in October 2018, while 11 US states and the capital have legalised its use, with most of those jurisdictions permitting retail trade. There doesn’t seem to be any international consequences for the places mentioned above, just benefits, continued Kavasilas, who’s long been involved in the Australian industrial hemp and hemp seed food industries, as well as with medicinal cannabis as the technical director for Cann Global. And according to him, the benefits include lowering alcohol consumption, a drop in domestic violence, mental health issues decreasing, youth use declines, as does problematic pharmaceutical use, law enforcement is freed up and there’s less corruption and a lowering of organised crime. https://www.sydneycriminallawyers.com.au//legalising-cann/
