25.01.2022 COVID SAfe Check-In is here! If someone in South Australia tests positive to COVID-19, COVID SAfe Check-In enables us to quickly contact others who may have be...en exposed to the virus, controlling the spread. This will enhance contact tracing and keep our community COVID safe. To start using COVID SAfe Check-In: 1 Download the free mySA GOV app on your iPhone or Android device. If you already have the app, make sure you have the latest version, which may require you to download the app update or remove and reinstall the app. 2 Select the COVID SAfe Check-In tile from the homepage of the app as you enter a business or venue. 3 Follow the prompts to scan the venue’s unique QR code and check in. You will not be required to sign up for a mySA GOV account to use the COVID SAfe Check-In. You also do not need to provide a driver’s licence or vehicle registration details to use it. The app securely collects limited personal information as you enter a business or venue. Your details will only be kept for 28 days and will only be released to SA Health for official contact tracing purposes. 18.01.2022 For today’s #TimeLapseTuesday, we’re bringing you a wound management demonstration, featuring a bread roll and a whole lot of fake blood! To simulate wounds with significant bleeding, volunteers at last week’s #Gawler workshop were given a bread roll packed with ground chicken and blood, and sprayed with resin to keep it squeezy and flesh-like. The challenge for our volunteers was to pack the wound with gauze until the ‘bleeding’ slowed or stopped.... Great work, everyone!

10.01.2022 Hand hygiene is one of the most effective ways to stop the spread of germs and viruses, including COVID-19. The BEST form of hand hygiene is washing hands wit...h soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Alcohol-based hand sanitiser is a great backup when you can’t access soap and water (and if your hands aren’t visibly dirty). Learn more about how you can stop the spread at: www.stopthespread.sa.gov.au
