25.01.2022 Took the Bar Crusher 615BR bowrider out for a spin this morning with Tim from Pacific Marine. If you're after true versatility (fish/ski/cruise), this one's definitely worth checking out at the show this weekend. Nice rig! Bar Crusher Boats Pacific Marine

24.01.2022 Good friend, Ashley Hallam from Tassie, took this big thresher solo this morning. What a fish!

23.01.2022 Please note that the Premier acknowledges the importance of recreational fishing to the South Australian economy. Let's hope we see more of this as the next election looms.

17.01.2022 BREAKING: Catch and release fishing will be allowed in the waters off Port Pirie during the temporary fishing ban. Testing for heavy metals is starting this mon...th and results are expected by end of the year. A 12-month fishing closure was put in place on 15 September 2020 in response to new information from a University of South Australia report. SA Health has advised that until further investigations are carried out into any potential health risks from consumption of seafood caught in the area, fish caught within the Port Pirie closure zones should not be consumed.

16.01.2022 Do you think we need to be worried? I do!

13.01.2022 Let's hope the service is here to stay this time. It really does make the lower EP trip much more convenient.

08.01.2022 Had to shift locations for this morning's boat test. 30kn of SW is a bit extreme, so we moved to the North Arm, where there was still quite a bit of chop! Haines Hunter 565 is a great all-rounder. Very neat rig!

07.01.2022 Just tasted the ultimate seafood pasta at the Largs Pier. It's on the Specials menu tonight and comes highly recommended. Calamari, prawns, scallops, mussels, cockles..... it's loaded up, and all with an olive oil-based sauce. Simply wonderful. Largs Pier Hotel

05.01.2022 G Ss R Fs Cs U 31 D 2021 A temporary closure to all fishing activity is in place across the five hectare site of the Glenelg She...llfish Reef. No fishing activity is permitted in the closure area. This includes line fishing, crab netting and spearfishing. The collection or removal of all bottom dwelling organisms, such as oysters, seaweed, crabs or any other shellfish is also prohibited. The closure is in place to allow the limestone reef structure and the marine life that will utilise the reef to settle and begin to develop for an extended period, to maximise the ecological value of the reef.
