25.01.2022 Tomorrow is international women's day. Who is your biggest inspiration? Here is a little story about some of the inspiring women in my life... (Long post warning)... I am a very lucky girl to be surrounded by so many inspiring women. For starters I have my mum who has been the biggest inspiration in my life. She is such an amazing woman. From a little girl my mum has been the backbone of our family with us three girls and supporting my dad with his very busy business. She has always played a very active part in dads business as well as raising us girls.Now she has her own business and still mananges to be the backbone of our family. It has extended quite a bit with husbands and granchildren and she still manages to be there for us all. She has always been a super mum. Now I am all grown up with a little boy and two little girls of my own, a husband with his own business and a business of my own and i have to take my hat off to my mum. I dont know how she did it!!!! I have two sisters that are the most amazing support whether it be there for a hug or bring me back to reality, they are there. My middle sister runs a division of dads business, is his right hand man so to speak. My baby sister runs her own cafe which I am lucky to be right next door to. She is the one who keeps my little coffee cup of happiness full. We are a very close knit family and I count my blessings every day that I am so lucky to have them. I am also very lucky to have the most amazing network of beautiful best girlfriends. One of my girlfriends works FULLTIME with two little girls. Yep fulltime, I take my hat off to all the fulltime working mummas out there. CRAZY!!! She juggles fulltime work with the girls school, extra curricular activities, housework, cooking and spending quality family time. Another of my girls works part time with three adorable, busy boys ever! Three boys I know right, she is surrounded by boys. These boys give their mumma some grey hairs but the best cuddles and unconditional love. And my third bestie is a super mum with two little girls and runs a business from home with her huband. She takes on so many extra rolls from sports co-ordinator to school p&c rolls. I haven't quite worked out if she sleeps yet. So in a nut shell I am surrounded by beautiful women. I could have gone on and on..... I didn't even mention my grandmother, aunties, beautiful mother in law, my kinesiologist, the list goes on and on. These women help me be the woman I am. I have two little girls who I am raising into strong, smart women. HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY!!!! Much love. xx

It is with a heavy heart that I announce I will be closing the salon from today due to COVID 19. Once it is under control and it is safe for me to perform my job I will reopen. Stay safe and let’s stay home and stop the spread.

16.01.2022 The thing is.... until we get shut down a lot of hair salons aren’t eligible for any incentives or allowances by the government. Yes we need to be shut down for health reasons and morally yes we all want to shut down. However if we choose to shut down we still all have our overheads to pay (which don’t go away until we are forced to close or for some don’t go away at all) so we have to stay open for financial reasons, which in turn impact our mental health. My heart goes out to all those in our Industry who are battling the demon caused by the government. #stopthespread #shuthairsalons #covid19

05.01.2022 This little muffin and I have had a busy day today. This morning we were out of the salon at the #toowoombamumpreneur magazine information session. It was amazing to see so many mums in business out supporting each other and getting involved in this NEW and exciting magazine. Keep an eye out for the magazine. It launches in June and we will be in it. Now for some much needed snuggles.
