23.01.2022 QISSRL Game 3: St Anthony’s College Vs Ryan Catholic College. The boys stepped up big time with their best performance of the year beating Ryan 18 - 6. The Open Dragon's boys were preparing for their Quarter Final against Mt Maria College when Lockdown in Brisbane was announced. Regardless, the Spirits are still high and all involved are very proud of the effort put in by the players. And we are incredibly proud of them too!! Awesome work boys! A huge shoutout to coach Alex King, manager Matt Tyrie and trainer Wade Joyce for keeping the boys focused and safe!
21.01.2022 Year 9 Japanese students went to the year 6 classes on Tuesday and ran Japanese lessons. Year 7 in Japanese, students learnt about Christmas in Japan and they made a house in the snow.

Homeroom and individual photographs are set to be taken at the Padua Campus on Tuesday the 13th of October and at the Assisi Campus on Wednesday the 14th of October. Family photographs will be taken on the resepective Campus after school each day. Cross campus family photographs can be taken at either campus. ... Students will need to be wearing their academic uniform when participating in class and individual photographs.
19.01.2022 The Frankenstein Complex explores the fear of the mechanical man, where the creation turns on the creator. Year 10 Visual Art students have been busy exploring the Frankenstein Complex, creating ceramic creatures to address the ethical issues of medical and technological advancements in modern society. We are very proud and fearful of their creations and can't wait to see what they create in Term 4 for the printmaking unit.
18.01.2022 UNIFORM SHOP REMINDER New Uniform Shop Procedures for after December 3rd 2020: Due to the high volume of families that we expect to greet at our uniform shop we will be making all visits by appointment only. The appointments can be made by ringing the uniform shop directly on 47517302 or the office on 47517300 . ... We are encouraging any current families who may need just a small top up and who know the sizes they need, to use the flexischools system and items will be ready for pick up the day after you order. Alternatively you are welcome to make an appointment and come in if you would like to try on the uniforms prior to purchasing. 15.01.2022 The Dragons Touch Football teams have been training and preparing for Queensland All-Schools Touch Competition. Queensland All Schools (QAS) is an annual touch football event run by Queensland Touch Football at Whites Hill Reserve, Camp Hill, Queensland. Held 7-11 October 2020, it is the world’s largest touch football tournament for secondary schools. St Anthonys would like to wish the best of luck to the players, coaches and managers. 14.01.2022 Year 9 and 10 students were informed about careers in the Australian Defence Force. Two representatives from the ADF spoke about their own personal journey within the Defence Force.
14.01.2022 Here is a pic of Ashleigh representing St Anthony's at the 2020 Queensland School Sport 13-17 years Waterpolo State Championships at the Gold Coast. The pool in the background is the competition pool and was used for the Commonwealth Games in 2018. Our girls are doing really well and will have played 6 games by the end of today.
13.01.2022 QISSN & QISSRL Update: Day 3 - Lockdown The students are trying to make the most of the situation here in Brisbane. Table tennis and pool are the favourites at the moment. Today, the group was split into three teams and versed each other in games of netball, basketball and touch football. The games seemed to lift their spirits after the carnivals being canceled, especially for our seniors! Hopefully, we can continue to find ways to entertain ourselves for the two days to come! We are missing our families and can’t wait to be reunited with our families in Townsville on a Friday!
12.01.2022 Year 6 Language Experience Day took place at Assisi campus on Tuesday! Year 6 students from Padua campus, St Clare and St Benedict participated in this event this year. They enjoyed exploring various Italian and Japanese cultural activities such as Bocce and Origami.
12.01.2022 Year 12 Retreat Update: We arrived safely to a little rain and a stunning view! A scissor/paper/rock challenge had us competing but the highlight of the night was Mr Corby’s Bed Time Story - The Very Hungry Caterpillar! Not sure if it was preparing the boys for bed - or if it had them craving ice cream, pie and pizza.....though Kyrell connected it to his gym workouts bulking up...then shredding! Perhaps Mr Corby will have better luck tonight with The Wonky Donkey? Watch this space!

The items include: water bottles, food containers/lunch boxes, umbrellas, jackets, sleeping bag, towel & miscellaneous items.... Food & water containers will be thrown out Friday 18th September. If clothing & miscellaneous items are not claimed by the 2nd week of the school holidays they will be donated to charity.

10.01.2022 On Monday, the Year 9 Italian students put on their aprons and got busy in the kitchen cooking delicious, cheesy Mozzarella in Carrozza, a recipe from the South of Italy. Buon appetito!
09.01.2022 On Wednesday, the Year 9 Italian students took part in the annual dinner excursion to the Italian restaurant Donna Bionda. This event is part of the Italian subject cultural studies and allows our students to interact with and experience both the Italian language and its food. Everyone had a really good time and we look forward to the next one!

Students in cross campus family photographs may choose which afternoon they attend to have their photograph taken.
03.01.2022 Finn Couper at the Queensland School Sport 10-19 years Golf State Championship played in Cairns last week. Finn represented North Queensland in the 4 round tournament and finished strongly with rounds of 78 and 80 in poor conditions. Finn, recently reaching single figure handicap, has a very bright future in the sport and should be very proud of his effort.
