23.01.2022 Congratulations to our superstar speaker Amelia who won the 2020 Catholic schools Public Speaking Competition This years theme was The Positive Impacts of Coronavirus. Amelia had 2 minutes to present her argument and she did fantastic! Amelia then had 30seconds to prepare an Impromptu speech on a topic she selected out of a jar, right there on the spot. Amelia blew us all away with her quick 1 minute response on the Worst Chores! ... Congratulations Amelia and well done to all our year 6 students who attended and represented our school today.

13.01.2022 https://youtu.be/Rpldap5sy30 On Thursday our school competed in the FIRST LEGO League RePLAY competition for 2020. This was our first year participating in the event. Our team was made up of 8 students from grade 4-6 who have been working very hard since the beginning of term 4 coding and programming a robot to be able to complete different missions set up on a large mat and table. However, the competition wasn’t just about programming the robot. The theme of LEGO league this... year was being active and the team had to come up with a research question and a solution. They worked very hard researching, conducting a survey and brainstorming ideas on how students in our school can be more active. They chose to look at ways our school playgrounds could be changed to make students want to move around more. Our team did fantastic and we are so proud to announce that we came 3rd in the robot game! And we won the Core Values Award (see video at 6:17) Let’s give our team a big CONGRATULATIONS! The judges had this to say about our team: Dressed in red they work and play They are creative every day Teams are fun that’s how they’ve learned Core value is what they’ve earned Congratulations team
