23.01.2022 So proud of the SHCS community today at the VPSSA Carnival. It was inspiring to see our children using their God given gifts to represent our school. Your behaviour and sportsmanship are a credit to your families and to our school. A huge thank you to the parents that helped out today. Our staff and children really do appreciate your time and energy. Another huge thank you to our sports guru - Miss Kerse for all of your effort in preparing the children for the carnival. You a...re a star! To all of our staff who helped at the carnival today - thank you. Thank you for the early start to the day and for going all day for the good of our children. Finally, congratulations to Goomalling Prinary School to for taking out the shield and for your efforts over the term in preparing both carnivals. Your efforts are much appreciated by everyone. 22.01.2022 What a huge night it was on Friday evening at Sacred Heart with children from all over town coming down to the P & F Christmas Disco. It was great to see children from Sacred Heart and Goomalling Primary School dancing the night away. A huge thank you to Sgt Adrian Bailey, Sgt Bernie Hush and Senior Constable Darren Gillis for organising the lights, music and games. As you may have already seen advertised, our registration day will be combined with the Cricket & Swimming Clubs,... next Wednesday 23rd September at 3.30pm outside the Sports Complex. We are going to be conducting 7 weeks of training sessions at the Tennis Complex on Thursday afternoons starting 15th October. Time TBA pending numbers. 07.01.2022 Today was Presentation Day at Sacred Heart Catholic School in honour of The Presentation Sisters who started our school over 100 years ago. In our school Vision Statement we reference the importance of every child’s God Given gifts, and today our children were able to share those gifts in our school Talent Show. A huge thank you to Father Daniel, Mrs Amanda Roe (principal of Goomalling Primary School) and Senior Constable Ben Falconer from Goomalling Police who were our gues...t judges. It was fantastic to see such a great turn out of parents and carers for our Presentation Day Prayer Service led beautifully by our Year 1 & 2 children. 01.01.2022 STATE-WIDE COMMITMENT TO ZERO PERCENT FEE INCREASES IN 2021. Executive Director Dr Debra Sayce has confirmed there will be no increase in tuition fees in 2021 a...t CEWA-owned schools throughout the State. Western Australians have come together to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic and we are very grateful to Government for their continued support of Catholic Education in Western Australia. Now we are working together to deal with the impacts resulting from the virus. Our schools have reported that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many parents and caregivers have lost their jobs or had their hours cut, making it difficult for some families to make ends meet. Catholic Education understands the need for families to have certainty and stability. That is why Western Australian Catholic schools are providing families with the assurance that fees won’t rise in 2021. While 14 non-diocesan Catholic schools have the autonomy to set their own fees, these schools share a commitment to minimising the impact of COVID-19 in their communities.
