06.01.2022 At the commencement of this school year, we decided that our school motto for 2020 should be "With a Listening Heart..." How little we knew at the time just how significant this would be this year! 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and circumstances have made it even more important for us all to stay connected and, for those who are able, be willing to support those around us. Today is R U OK?Day and at Sacred Heart we are encouraging our staff to take the time to enjoy a cuppa, a biscuit and check in with one another. After all, a conversation could change a life.

05.01.2022 Hi Sacred Heart Families, As a staff group we have decided to take on The Sudsy Challenge in support of Orange Sky - a non-profit organisation providing free laundry and shower services for people experiencing homelessness. Well be wearing the same outfit for three days (!!!!) to start conversations and support the 1 in 200 Australians doing it tough. We think everyone deserves to feel connected, and thats why were committed to making a real difference through The Sudsy ...Challenge. It costs Orange Sky $24 to support a friend on the street with access to clean clothes, a warm shower and genuine conversation, so were hoping to raise money and awareness to help positively connect more Australians doing it tough. Follow the link to donate https://www.thesudsychallenge.com/st/214/1422 Your support would mean so much to us! Thank you, The SH staff aka Sacred Heart Sudsies (photos to follow tomorrow)

05.01.2022 This NAIDOC Week we celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. This week, through many planned learning experiences, our students are invited to consider an eternal theme of this land: Always Was, Always Will Be; acknowledging that these lands, waterways and seas -always have been, are, and will always be - lands, seas and waterways of the First Nations peoples. #NAIDOC2020
