06.01.2022 a wise amphibious desert teacher once showed me how my life was full of trauma. one thing after the other. it also showed me how feeling each layer of trauma was the only way to truly come home to our essence. the only way to come home to ourselves. with each trauma we create a protective layer around our hearts. once you feel all the painful feels, and cry all the tears, you dissolve the protective layers and arrive home. thus my tattoo as a reminder... thank you to @micco1973 for creating a safe space in which to feel and to cry my lifetime of uncried tears. you have facilitated my arrival home and i shall be forever grateful, my beautiful love you said you never met anyone who cries as much as me. that’s because i trust your ability to hold me, mostly without judgement. thank you thank you thank you

05.01.2022 i feel like absolute shit today, but for the kiddies i squeezed out this half-assed smile after reading on one of my cancer pages just to keep taking photos of yourself, no matter how bad you look or how crap you feel, because after you are gone, all people will have is photos and memories. Today i let the kids see me cry. I even admitted that today i feel like i am actually dying - it’s my off week after 3 weeks of treatment, and i now see a pattern emerging - the week off ...is challenging with no energy at all, and all i want to do is sleep. The win is that it has made me realise that i need help with meal prep so that me and the kids and my carers can eat better. And some beautiful angels have already put their hands up to help. My tribe are amazing. Thank you to everyone who helps in big and small ways - there are no small ways, infact, as all the help feels huge to me. So much gratitude from my gypsy heart. On days like these it’s hard to stay in the here and now and trust that i won’t feel like this forever. In some ways though, it’s good to feel these feels as it gets me in touch with my needs. May tomorrow be a fresh new day.
