24.01.2022 And just like that the year is almost done. What a roller coaster ride 2020 has been, and due to that I will be taking a much needed break. Please book now if you wanted your last acupuncture fix for 2020, or maybe you had some health goals that were a priority, and you didn’t get around to them. Now is the time.

24.01.2022 Acu-bliss. That feeling you get after an acupuncture treatment and walk out of the clinic.

23.01.2022 ‘Acu-bliss’ how I feel after my acupuncture treatment. I love watching my patients come out of the treatment room, they look so relaxed and happy. How do you feel after your acupuncture treatment? Are you feeling relaxed or do you have lots of energy?

21.01.2022 We will be closing as of tonight due to stage 4 lockdowns. Once I have confirmation from the government, AHPRA and my association about when I can re-open I will let everyone know. However I am still available for telephone consultations if you need me. Please stay safe, and look out for one another, as these are difficult times. See you all soon.... See more

21.01.2022 Acu-bliss! The feeling you get after an acupuncture treatment. Personally I feeling like I’m floating for the rest of the day and the next. Love that feeling!

20.01.2022 Who else has pre-Christmas burnout? It’s that time of year again, when life hits the accelerator pedal and speeds up to 100km/h. The mad rush at work, putting up Christmas decorations, attending all the social functions, hosting pre-Christmas lunches and dinners, packing and getting ready to go on holidays, buying endless presents for family, friends, teacher, child care carers etc, and so on. There is so much to do before Christmas actually happens. What do you do to take time out for yourself? How do you de-stress and try to enjoy this time of year? 2020 has been difficult for everyone, so let’s end the year by taking care of ourselves, and having a moment to just to breathe and relax.

18.01.2022 Hot flushes or hot flashes as some like to call them are the pits! Don’t you hate it when you are at work or with friends having a conversation, and all of a sudden you feel this intense heat that starts from your feet and travels up your body, and to your chest or head, overtaking you. Then before you know it, you notice you have sweat dripping down your face. You start to remove your clothes so quickly, and begin look for a tissue to wipe your face, feeling uncomfortabl...e and hot. I often see and hear about this in the clinic with my women, but why aren’t we talking about this more? Why are flushes not being discussed and made part of normal conversation when so many women are experiencing this? I am here to tell you that you do not need to experience hot flushes! There are ways and changes you can make in your life, so that they are no longer part of your life anymore!

18.01.2022 2020 has been a tough year for most people, including myself, but from adversity comes clarity and growth. For 2021 I have made some big and exciting business changes. I am happy to announce that I will be moving my Sacred Point Acupuncture business just down the road to Suite 2/ 55 Hudsons rd, Spotswood, and will now be working Tuesdays 3pm-7pm, and Saturdays 8am-2pm. I am also excited to announce that I will also be working with the wonderful team at @qi_medicine_acupunctur...e in Moonee Ponds on Mondays 2-8pm and Thursdays 9am- 2pm. I am looking forward to seeing everyone in the next year

17.01.2022 In Traditional Chinese Medicine exercise falls into two categories yin exercises and yang exercises. Yin exercises are used to nourish the body slowly, calm your breathing, heart and mind. Some examples of yin exercises are yoga, tai chi, qi gong, some strength exercises, Pilates and walking. Yang exercises are more higher energy, rapid and strength based exercises, these include high intensity cardio, weightlifting, running, cycling, and F45 etc. In the clinic I normally pr...escribe different exercises depending on each person’s constitution, for example if they are seen as being deficient, I ask them to focus on yin exercises to build their energy back from within. Exercise should always been seen as a way to nourish and strengthen the body, not punish or hurt it.

16.01.2022 Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year everyone. As this very memorable year comes to a close, I just want to thank everyone who has been so supportive throughout the year, especially during lockdown, it definitely was interesting times. I also want to thank all my patients who have trusted me to look after their health, and allow me to work with them during these tough times. I look forward to working with you next year when things are hopefully more stable.... May your holiday period be filled with lots of love, friendships, happiness, laughter, and maybe a little too much food and drink. See you all in 2021!

14.01.2022 And just like that the long weekend is over. Who can spot what is wrong with this picture? Hope you had an enjoyable one. I spent my long weekend trying to visit as many local businesses as possible to buy and support them. Here is me at Williamstown beach kiosk.... Due to lockdown restrictions now being less restrictive, I am now back this week to treating patients for routine care. Looking forward to seeing you back in the clinic. Karolina x

13.01.2022 What book is everyone reading at the moment? Homeschooling is done for the day. It’s cold, windy and raining outside.... So perfect weather for a book. Today I am going back to an old favourite acupuncture book of mine called Five Spirits by Lorie Eve Dechar. What book are you reading or do you recommend?

13.01.2022 Hot flushes, night sweats, irregular periods, irritable, mood swings, weight gain, adult acne, fatigue, foggy head, forgetfulness, insomnia, do any of these sound familiar to you? These are some of the things (and many more) I hear in the clinic from women going through peri menopause (the transition time to menopause). Did you know that you could start going through the hormonal changes associated with menopause from as early as your mid- 30’s? ... I developed a passion over the years to work with women who are going through hormonal changes. I work with women who want ant to find a natural and early intervention to assist with these hormonal shifts in their body. As a registered Acupuncturist and health coach, I find tailored solutions to assist you, so that you start feeling yourself again. I work from Mondays to Saturdays at various times at both Qi medicine in Moonee Ponds and Sacred Point Acupuncture in Spotswood. I also have a FREE Ebook that includes a 5-day meal plan and grocery list for women going through peri-menopausal symptoms on both my website and Qi medicine. Www.sacredpointacupuncture.com.au Www.qimedicine.com.au Thank you Dr Karolina Cass (TCM).

13.01.2022 As a Chinese medicine practitioner, I love treating women going through peri and post menopausal symptoms. To help my patients during this transitional time, I have also created a FREE e-book that provides information about how Chinese medicine sees menopause, and a 5-day meal plan with a complete grocery list. To view my FREE e-book, go to my website www.sacredpointacupuncture.com.au.

11.01.2022 New year, new changes. I am currently on a much needed break, but as of 11th January I will be available at a new clinic in Spotswood on Tuesdays and Saturdays, which you can book directly on my website. I will also be available at Qi Medicine at Suite 4, Level 1, 151 Pascoe Vale Rd, Moonee Ponds on Mondays and Thursdays, which you can book via their website at http://qimedicine.com.au.

11.01.2022 Happy Father’s Day to the most amazing men in my life, and who have helped me become the person I am today. I know for us in Melbourne, this has been a particularly difficult Father’s Day, as lockdown stops us from spending it with extended family, and being advised that lockdown has now been extended. For everyone who has been contacting me about when I will reopen, I am still not 100% sure yet. As soon as I know I will be posting and contacting you all.... Stay strong and safe. This will be over soon.

10.01.2022 Heat and dryness are two common symptoms women complain about during peri-menopause and post menopause. Hot flushes, vaginal dryness, excessive all day or night sweating, dry mouth or skin regardless how much water you drink, dry eyes, and just overall feeling hot all the time are common symptoms I hear from women often. And for some women it doesn’t matter how much water they drink, it doesn’t make a difference as it is not being absorbed by the body. It is like a desert inside their body, hot and dry.

09.01.2022 #blackouttuesday

06.01.2022 Energetic nature of food according to Chinese medicine dietary therapy. Just one of the things you will learn about in my new FREE e-book. Interested in learning. more, go to my website www.sacredpointacupuncture.com.au to download my e-book.

06.01.2022 What a rough couple of days/ weeks it’s been in Melbourne. Melbournians are a tough bunch of people. We have endured so much over the past 18 months. Finally the storm has passed, the winds have calmed down, the clouds have cleared, and the sun is trying to shine through.... Today we also have our lockdown restrictions slightly loosened up. Restaurants, workplaces, small business can finally open back up and can welcome people back in (with limited capacity). I noticed in my local area there was a slight buzz last night and this morning. More cars on the road, people were more chatty, and restaurant tables back on the footpath. Let’s hope the worse is behind us and we can begin to heal. For me I am now back in both Spotswood and Moonee Ponds clinics and can see patients for routine care. If you need and want to focus on your health, I am available now. If you can’t find a spot to book in, message me and I will do my best to squeeze you in. Take care. Karolina x

06.01.2022 Red, red wine! Do you suffer from hot flushes, night sweats, insomnia, heart palpitations, or dryness due to peri-menopause or menopause? Maybe it’s time to put down that wine! Red wine in Chinese medicine is especially seen to have warming and drying effects on the body. This is why drinking red wine on a regular basis can make your symptoms worse and/or prolonged. So next time you reach for a glass of wine, notice how you feel afterwards, does your body feel hot, do you have a red face?

04.01.2022 Yeah I am finally back working in Spotswood, at the Mind Up clinic from Saturday 13th June. My current hours will be Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings. If you want an acupuncture appointment with me book online via www.sacredpointacupuncture.com.au

04.01.2022 Acu-bliss. A word I made up to describe how I feel after I’ve had an acupuncture session. Ahhhhh

03.01.2022 So I have been a busy little bee during lockdown/ homeschooling and created another FREE e-book, that is available on my website. This e-book provides you with my top 5 meals and recipes to eat during the cooler months of autumn. Click here to access my FREE e-book, no need to sign up, or provide your email address.... https://www.sacredpointacupuncture.com.au/e-books Hope you enjoy.

02.01.2022 Sometimes all you can do is try and see the funny side of it, until you come and see me in the clinic.

02.01.2022 Can you imagine if someone told you that your menopausal symptoms you are experiencing could last between 5 years up to a decade? That’s a long time for a women to be suffering from either hot flushes, night sweats, foggy head, or many other symptoms. It’s not acceptable for a woman to be suffering from her symptoms for so long, when there are so many options available to help her. Medications such as HRT, or the pill, surgery, synthetic hormone can be prescribed by your doctor, but there are also some natural medicine techniques and strategies that are all available. Don’t suffer in silence when there is help here.

01.01.2022 Back to work today. Things are slowly getting back to normal, but not sure if I want it to go back to the way it used to be! I do not want to busyness, the constant running around trying to get everything completed by the end of the day. I enjoyed the slower pace and having more time with my family, going for walks, and long conversations with people (even if it was online). So as things slowly get back to a ‘new normal’, let’s not forgot what sparked joy and content in our lives, remember what is really important, and who is important. There is no need to rush back to our old selves or lives, as we and the world have now changed.
