Our branch President, Georgia, has promised to supply the SACWA pop-up shop in the Adelaide Arcade with these biscuits for purchase. ... Keep your eyes peeled for further information about the pop up shop in the near future. Supporting SACWA has never tasted so good!

07.01.2022 Today is world chocolate day, and who doesn’t love to bake with chocolate! These cute little patty cakes have been made by our member, Georgia. It is a recipe that her grandfather passed down to her. Georgia says she uses local ingredients including Haigh's Chocolates and Fleurieu Milk Company to really make the flavours stand out. ... 04.01.2022 Who is ready for some weekend baking??? These delicious Lime and Vanilla Melting Moments with Passionfruit Curd got a lot of likes in a previous post, so we are sharing the recipe so you can try these at home too. Make sure you posts pictures of your creations so we can see too! ... Happy baking everyone. Melting moment ingredients: 200g butter, softened 90g pure icing sugar, sifted 60ml lime juice Finely grated rind of 1 lime Seeds of 1 vanilla bean 225g plain flour 100g cornflour Passionfruit curd ingredients: 4 egg yolks 100g caster sugar 80ml Passionfruit pulp 50g butter, coarsely chopped 2tsp lime juice Lime butter ingredients: 210g pure icing sugar, sifted 75g cold unsalted butter, finely chopped Finely grated rind of 1 lime 1. Preheat oven to 180’c and lime your baking trays. 2. Beat butter, icing sugar, lime juice, rind and vanilla seeds until pale and creamy. Sift flour and cornflour over butter mixture and mix until well combined. 3. Take a tablespoon of dough and roll into a ball. Press lightly with a fork and place on trays. 4. Bake until golden (12-15 minutes) and leave to cool briefly on trays before transferring to cooling rack. 5. For Passionfruit curd, whisk yolks in heatproof bowl to combine. 6. Combine sugar, Passionfruit and butter in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until butter dissolves. 7. Whisking continuously, add a third of the Passionfruit mix to yolks. Then return this mix to pan and stir continuously until thickened. Do not boil. Add lime juice and remove from heat. Pass through sieve into a container. Cover with plastic wrap and cool for 10 minutes before refrigerating for an hour. 8. Beat all lime butter ingredients together until light, pale and fluffy. 9. Top half of the biscuits with lime butter, then Passionfruit curd then sandwich together with another biscuit. Refrigerate until firm. *will keep refrigerated in airtight container for 2 days.
