The semi-deep monoflap Cross country saddle provides an optimum close contact feeling, excellent comfort, and correctly aligns the riders pelvis while limiting shifts in the riders center of gravity. 24.01.2022 WHAT SERVICES DOES CONSIGNMENT INCLUDE? When you Consign a saddle with Saddlery In Motion, you’re not just having your saddle sold. Consignment includes a number of services you may not be aware of! Saddle detail; I clean and detail your saddle to get it ready to present to potential buyers... Saddle valuation; I spend time researching your saddle, finding out more information on it for you (especially if you don’t know it’s age or model name or whether it can be adjusted) as well as researching others of similar age and condition to compare market value. Saddle photography; I get photos from all angles, showing any marks or wear that a buyer should know about. I also get images from angles that buyers want to see as well as photos showing it being accurately measured. Saddle fitter check; I have a professional saddle fitter (Performance Saddlefits WA) go over your saddle with a fine toothed comb to ensure there are no defects or damage that would make it unsuitable for sale. The write-up; I write up the information and accurate details for your saddle, so buyers know exactly what it is they’re looking at. Marketing; much of this is done on Facebook with regular advertising on many groups. In order to get the best possible reach for these adverts I also need to comment, post and react regularly on each individual group to make sure that as high a number of potential buyers see my adverts as possible. I also utilise Gumtree, Horse Deals & Cavalletti too! The enquiries; I field all the enquiries! Some popular saddles may have up to 50 separate enquiries each though the average is around 25 per saddle. I reply to all of these and do the back and forth to ensure the potential buyer has all the information and images they need. Try before you buy; I drive out to people’s homes and agistment centres all over the state with saddles so potential buyers can try saddles to ensure it’s suitable before they buy. Some I go to more than once. I spend up to an hour per saddle to allow time for a ride and fair trial of the saddle. The sale; I coordinate the sale on your behalf. I wrap and post those saddles that go further afield - I’ve sent some as far as Ireland, Canada & the USA! 24.01.2022 Since Saddlery In Motion opened, I have had customers request me to hold saddles for them (put the saddle aside/not sell it until they're ready to purchase) many times. They usually request I hold a saddle until such time as they can organise to pick it up, or get an appointment booked with their saddle fitter, or until I am next in their area and a range of other reasons for a hold. Unfortunately this often leads to confusion for both buyers and sellers, and on several occas...ions this has caused some difficulties for my clients and my business. As such, I am now bringing in this new Holds policy. This policy is effective immediately and there will be no waiver or deviation from this policy.

22.01.2022 - PANEL CHALLENGE - Are your panels even? I challenge everyone to put their saddles on a dead flat surface, propped up and check that their panels are even. Does one look higher than the other? Does one look lopsided? Can you see any issues?... If they dont look even, you may have a twisted tree or perhaps both panels werent attached evenly when the saddle was made. If they dont look even, it might be time to have a saddler or saddle fitter check it for you in case you need to stop using it for the welfare of your horse! I must admit, the name was a darn sight funnier when he was a midget kitten. 16.01.2022 16 inner seat Kuda All Round Flex saddle 7.5 gullet, not adjustable QHB 2016 model... Kuda saddles are each hand made to order in the USA. There is generally a 12 week wait to get a new one which of course has now blown out considerably thanks to Covid. The Kuda All Around Flex saddle provides an exceptionally close feel to the horse. Unlike most Western saddles, the All Around Flex has less bulk (layers of leather) beneath the riders thighs. This offers the rider a huge opportunity for subtle seat and leg aids with the horse and therefore a more direct communication between horse and rider. Brand new, never used! 02.01.2022 15 inner seat Bates Mexican style Western saddle 6 gullet, SQHB 27 skirt It is believed that this saddle was a Bates prototype, never released for commercial sale. Bates are still investigating into it but this is what theyve told me so far.... Barely used, and in immaculate condition - this saddle has spent most of its life indoors as a conversational piece and for decoration. 01.01.2022 18 Jack Wieneke Stock Saddle Medium/medium wide gullet Flocked panels Jack Wieneke was a saddler in Queensland who was credited with developing the Australian Stock saddle in the late 1800s. He continued to make saddles for many years and eventually made an arrangement with Syd Hill to continue to make them on his behalf under his name.... This saddle has been beautifully cared for, reflocked and always kept well oiled and indoors. Were not sure of its age but it could be anywhere from 20 years plus. (The last Jack Wienekes made by Syd Hill were manufactured in 2000). Its in excellent condition and will make its new owner very happy. $1,200 Additional photos available on request
