15.01.2022 Forever obsessed with baby toes - swoooooon!! Well. It has been a red hot minute!!! Between the biggest 6 months of my life, personally and professionally, trying to prepare for Christmas AND then thinking putting my two toddlers in the same room (dumbest idea I've ever had) I've been robbed of the time, to be as present as I would like on social media.... I hope you are all ready to the big man to arrive - I spent 3 hours yesterday wrapping Santa presents, but I am finally ready - HOORAH!
13.01.2022 I know, I am a little late to the party but I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! My little family and I are home, after a trip away to spend time with Family. We ate far too much, this mama might have had a few too many wines but it was SO needed. 2020 was a year full of challenges that I never thought I would face which has now allowed me time to refocus on how this little business will operate moving forward. The burn out was REAL - I can not even ...express just how exhausted I was for the last three months of last year, which in turn took time away from my four small humans. They are growing so fast and I feel that I have not been able to fully appreciate my darling 9 month old as I was back behind the camera when he was 7 weeks old! For an hour session, as a client you will see me there for pre-session support and any communications required for wardrobe (I wash, dry and steam each garment prior to every session) and finding the perfect location, we then have the on location time (not including travel time to and from) - all of this is prior to even looking at your images I've taken! So, we are up to roughly 4 hours already - I then back up your images twice (can never be too careful but so time consuming), culling is next, which is SO hard being a click happy photographer - Moving on to editing, this can take me anywhere up to 4-6 hours! 10-14 hours for one session. Even before you have sighted one image. Last year, there were weeks I took on 4-6 sessions some weeks - moving forward this will not be happening. I need to be present. These years are going by far too quickly and I don't want to regret the time I spent away from them. To wrap 2020 up in a nutshell: 74 Family sessions 40 Mini sessions And a baby in-between THANK YOU. THANK YOU. As I come into my 3rd year of business in April, I have met so many families and think of each and every single ones as friends, each a valuable member of this beautiful family.. Love hard friends. 07.01.2022 This duo. Perfection. Meanwhile I was behind the camera a sweaty mess, one of the fastest 2 year olds I’ve ever met. Plenty of adventures had but boy oh boy, he gave me a run for my money!! Must lay off the chocolate to keep up with these energiser bunnies
07.01.2022 And just like that, Christmas mini's are FINISHED!! 21 families picked me and I am still pinching myself. When I released my sessions, I had some serious self doubt. I moaned to my girlfriends that it was going to be a total flop, no one would book and what a failure it was. Well. Wasn't I proven wrong! We had all seasons over each date, the final being last night - 4 families came along last night, braved the wind and the cold, somehow we missed the rain but it there was no ...complaints. Only a whole of loving happening for all the small ones! Thank you doesn't go far enough - you have made my Christmas far more special than I could have ever imagined. Now to catch up on galleries, then some sleep and all the loving for my four small ones. Until next year
