23.01.2022 Mount Gambier multicultural event was successful. I started working on this project with Rowland Kal since 2018 and now I am happy that this dream has been materialized. I would like to extend my appreciation to the city council, Red Cross, Mayor Martin and everyone involved in making the event possible. As a reminder, The Mount Gambier Multi-cultural aims to raise awareness of diversity and to be used as a tool of integration of new members in Mount Gambier’s various communities and neighbourhoods. The activities during the event focused on how to build bridges among communities rather than walls that consequently are root causes of discrimination, dehumanization and colour discrimination. To make this happen, we used arts, informative talks, and media.
