25.01.2022 Another dangerous switchboard! We tested the oven circuit when turned off and it still had power, the circuit breaker was not isolating the power and could have been deadly if we didnt test it before working or in a power fault could have caused a fire. No safety switch installed on that circuit - So we installed a new one to make it safe ... Thanks to Fluke Australia for the amazing test gear

18.01.2022 PSA Yes we are still doing bits and pieces that are safe to do - its worth a CALL to chat about work when you need & the time is suitable so be pro active!! Full Covid-19 precautions in place, hand sanitizer in all 3 vans and discussions with all clients before arrival with SMS to confirm also when on the way to jobs. For this client there was not a safety switch in sight! We gave him the works with a combo safety switch for each circuit to avoid headaches if a fault occurs on one circuit all other circuits can remain on.

12.01.2022 SAFETY TIP To ensure a well functioning safety switch we encourage at least twice a year to test trip your safety switch, this not only proves it works but keeps it active from seizing up. (Best to test in business hours in case it fails). We installed a new PowerPoint today, while doing so we tested the safety switch. 230ms test trip time, thats almost 1/4 of a second of electric shock if a fault were to happen. Our initial test it actually failed.... A decent safety switch will normally trip within 40ms, we recommend replacing this one. Legal max is 300ms. (0.3 seconds). Manufacturers recommend monthly, but we all know you wont so try commit to twice annually.
