24.01.2022 At times a photographer has to face the lens (Day of reckoning).
22.01.2022 Looking forward to playing Echuca's Riverboat Festival with TPOAO and to scout photo opportunities. If you have any ideas please bring 'em on and I will be a great listener. Below, pics of the Great Mulato Astatke doing his last concert in Australia at the Night Cat recently.
21.01.2022 Summer is coming so walking the challenge and wherever may that be...
19.01.2022 I do not concentrate on one area of photography because I find everything else exciting and challenging. The main reason being a "hobby" than a "living style" as professionals do. Working as an "Octopus" in photography can be exciting but equally expensive as this requirers different lens and at times more than one set of bodies on a project plus accessories (tripods, props, a good backpacker, filters etc). Professionals will have a studio, where lights, props, a good editing... desk top are positioned and don't forget photoshop etc. Take for example lens for portraits, landscape, macro, zoom, prime they can "eat your budget" like mad, thus the fee when you chose to hire a photographer for your wedding, party, gig etc. After the work has completed the number of hours editing and looking for files can be cumbersome and that adds to the fee again. Let alone time at the set, travelling, expense and all extras, so this is where you make a choice of being Pro or taking is as a hobby. The risk factor of wading through mad, rivers, climbing mountains, endless hours of patience to wait for a shot is but one of facets of a good photographer. When you see a finished product, the least is acknowledging the creator for without them they would be no image you are looking at. Have a great time friends and thank you for the time here..
