25.01.2022 Over the next week we would like to show our appreciation for our generous sponsors that helped get us through another season. We are going to start with our newest sponsor, the guys at FortyWinks at Logan Super Centre on the Pacific Hwy opposite Worldgym. Amy & Richard are great people that joined our club this year and came on board as a polo shirt sponsor. We greatly appreciated your support. Please keep them in mind and repay their support to our club. ... https://www.fortywinks.com.au/
24.01.2022 Tonight Rhan presented the U8s with their indigenous round jumpers for our 4th annual indigenous round celebration this Saturday. They joined the seniors as Rhan told the story of this years jumper design and showed the boys his indigenous artefacts and played the didgeridoo. It was a bit of a special moment with young Archie Hooper involved in his first Pumas Indigenous round.
24.01.2022 There are no words to explain how good this is.
23.01.2022 BIG BIG DAY AT THE CLUB TOMORROW. With plenty of junior games and the seniors & reserves at home, theres plenty of time for everyone to get to the club and show their support for Khobe. Therell be raffles with plenty of great prices (listed one the photos and some). Theres an opportunity to donate at the clothing shop, on the clothing shop will be open again and restocked full of merchandise including more Hoodies. Dont forget the social distancing requirements. There are new requirements out today for bar sales.
23.01.2022 Return to Play // Make sure you know best practice when you head to training. If you are unsure, speak to your team manager or coach.
22.01.2022 Its frustrating that a couple of young people have been careless and deceitful, putting our community at risk. Today Chatswood Hills State School is closed for ...a deep clean. Our whole community is working together to get through this. #Staysafe #COVID
22.01.2022 Another great supporter of the mighty Pumas
21.01.2022 The club has been shut for the remainder of the week. This means no junior, youth or senior training until Monday or until further information or advice is provided. Games to proceed as per the fixture at this stage. This is purely a precautionary measure and hopefully in the coming days the dust settles and there is no impact from the outrageous actions that have put our community at risk and we can all get back to enjoying the footy. Note;... This is not place to make comments regarding the above actions or our thoughts on the irresponsible actions of those that led to this. Any comments will be deleted. See more
21.01.2022 The Springwood Pumas are really excited to announce the appointment of Paul Reyne as our new Senior coach. Paul brings a massive amount of footy knowledge and experience and several years of coaching experience. We are also excited to announce that Josh Mitchell will be Paul’s senior assistant. Josh is currently our major sponsor but has been at the club for over a decade having coached in our juniors and being a senior premiership player. Bring on 2021. Training starts this Thursday at 6pm.
21.01.2022 Remembrance Day 1-minute silence at 11am to remember all those we have lost in conflicts.

20.01.2022 Food at the Footy! INDIGENOUS ROUND. THIS SATURDAY 5th SEPTEMBER 2020
20.01.2022 SENIOR 2020 FOOTBALL AWARDS. WIth the club unable to hold presentation events this year the senior group organised their own event with the help of the Meadowbrook Golf club. As with everything 2020, the outcome of the senior Best & Fairest was outrageous. ... A FOUR WAY TIE. Jake Keeble who was a Springwood junior from the start, found his way straight into our Senior side a couple of years ago and has not looked back. At 21 he has held down every key position on the ground and is now a Pumas senior Best & Fairest. Nick Proud became a Puma 3 years ago and has proven himself as solid footballer and club person. This year Nick took his footy to another level and was Runners Up in the competition B&F by a single vote. He went one step further in the club count and is now a Pumas senior Best & Fairest. Mark Thompson There’s not much that hasn’t already been said about this bloke. Club’s senior games record holder Longest serving club captain 2x senior premiership captain (‘14 &’15) Hall of Fame member Life member And now 3 time Pumas senior Best & Fairest (‘08, ‘16 & ‘20) Rowan page. Rowan Page was a Springwood junior who played in 2 colts premierships in ‘09 & ‘10, one of them as captain. He’s a 2x senior premiership player Current club captain 3 time League B&F (‘17, ‘18 & ‘19) And now 5 time Pumas senior Best & Fairest (‘14, ‘17, ‘18, ‘19 & ‘20 The reserves B&F was a close affair that end with another Springwood Junior taking the honours. Congratulations to Luke Zandona on his first Best & Fairest. Other awards: Players Player - Nick Proud Best Clubman - Josh Balm

16.01.2022 To all members Im sure you are all excited with footy returning next weekend, I certainly am. Whilst restrictions have eased we still have a number to comply with. ... To ease the burden on volunteers the following requirements will continue to apply for training sessions. 1/ Zones are no longer in place but we ask that coaches keep their teams distanced from others 2/ The club house will remain closed 3/ Change rooms are not to be used, players to arrive ready to train 4/ Male toilets are home rooms and female toilets away rooms 5/ We ask parents and spectators to continue to stay in the car park 6/ COVID officers are still in place for all teams An updated COVID Safe plan for field sports was released Friday afternoon and we are working our way through the document and will provide further information ahead of games next weekend. 14.01.2022 Today we would like to extend our appreciation to Brigid & Richard at Repare Electrical & Air Conditioning. It’s a massive achievement from both of you and everyone at our club is extremely proud. Both Oliver and Dekota are also representing the U14 boys & U15 girls in their grand finals this weekend. ... GO PUMAS.
13.01.2022 A NOTICE AND REMINDER TO ALL PUMA MEMBERS. Our club is a community, not for profit, family based organisation run entirely by volunteers giving up their own time and often their own funds to ensure that there will always be a club for hundreds of children and young adults from our community. The amount of work that is required to operate the club behind your teams training and game days is normally around 50-100 hours a week during a normal season and half that again over t...he summer. This year those numbers and responsibilities are significantly more. That work is carried out for free by people that have jobs, families and other responsibilities like everyone else. Therefore, as explained to each group at the start of each season, there is zero tolerance for anyone that wants to publicly criticising the people a giving up their time for the benefit of the community and other peoples children. Unfortunately not every decision made is going to make all 300 members happy. If at any time you would like clarification on anything, there is the option to send a private message on either of the clubs Facebook sites, the Instagram site or the contact details on the website and the committee will happily make time to hear your concerns. Adrian Wallin Vice President

03.01.2022 Sadly, our Springwood Pumas football community received some terrible news in the last week. One of our own Puma family, young Khobe Cooke has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Burkitts Lymphoma. Instead of celebrating his 9th birthday with his mates he spent the day in hospital undergoing chemotherapy. His mum Amanda has been a great contributor to our club acting as team manager for the past 4 years.... A face book page has been started Kindness for Khobe to raise funds to assist the family and we as Khobes footy club need to do our part. We are asking members, players and sponsors who are in a position to assist to use the bank account below and we will arrange the donation from the club. If we all get behind this in some small way we can make a big difference for the family in this difficult time. We will also be raising money at the club this Saturday during the junior and seniors games. Get to the club Saturday as we all do what we can to support Khobe and his family.
