19.01.2022 The SAS team has been hard at it as they conduct asbestos removal from a sub floor at a private residential home in Melbourne. Initially working beneath floor level in difficult to access, confined and cramped conditions, the floorboards were then removed to enable greater access.

02.01.2022 The SAS team are currently working in Hastings, Victoria, stripping out a Nursing Home of all Asbestos Vinyl Sheeting and friable millboard asbestos adhered to timber floors throughout. Includes the removal of furniture from rooms found to contain AC sheets, carpets, skirts and architraves throughout. This Class A job requires controlled encapsulation of work areas (bubble), involving covering penetration areas including doors, windows and all voids, followed by smoke testing. Floors are encapsulated with paint, then stripped of asbestos and concrete grinded. A wet decontamination facility and negative air pressure are required on site, as are daily air monitoring and clearance reports.
