Not every story has a happy ending but it is never from lack of trying..... Thank you to all the foster carers and volunteers who make the wheels keep turning and never giving up.... 24.01.2022 A very unexpected gift from The Universe was given to SAFE Inc, at a time of great adversity impacting on SAFE. It was November 2018 when we were contacted by ...The Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association. It all seemed too good to be true, but it was all true. SAFE received a generous donation from them which enabled us to fund branches who were at great risk, as they could not find the funds to cover their vet bills, mostly for desexings. SAFE also received a trophy Shining World Compassion Award and a framed certificate, which were presented to us, and we were given the opportunity to be interviewed on World Wide Television so that the SAFE message could reach a broad audience across the World!! Whether you were a volunteer, a sponsor, performed, attended or donated-thank you from the bottoms of our hearts. ... Our future was looking a little bleak until last night and now we can continue to do the good work in rescuing and rehoming animals here in Broome and surrounds.

20.01.2022 Last week we took into care a beautiful puppy called George. George came to us on Friday and was taken straight to a loving foster home. Here he was fed, given care and a safe place to stay. His foster carers fell in love and the kids ensured he had plenty of cuddles.... On Saturday he was quiet but then deteriorated fast Sunday morning. The decision was made that despite the costs we needed to try and get him the treatment he needed. It was found that he had Parvo and the decision was made to ensure he was out of pain. The volunteers and foster carers were devasted he would have made a wonderful family member for someone. Foster carer Billie made this of George and said Mum, this is little George and I!. I want to remember him and how happy he made me feel before he got too sick and went to the rainbow bridge. The vet bills were over $400 and this is why our fundraiser is just so important.. 20.01.2022 Thank you to the Aqua participants who held a morning breakfast last week, each giving a gold coin donation and raised just over $150 for SAFE. A huge thank you to everyone involved.

17.01.2022 Abby and Mike attended the Broome Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. awards last night, and we were privileged to receive Highly Commended in the 'Not For Profit Organisation' Award. SAFE Broome would like to thank all our volunteers/team members for helping us achieve this, as without you it would not be possible.... Our congratulations go to Mens Outreach Service Aboriginal Corp for winning the award.

Drawing from artists such as John Mayer, Ed Sheeran and Jon Bellion Bojesse is currently developing his own sound and diving deep into the realm of music production and songwriting. Join him on the night for a chilled acoustic melodic adventure of original music.

08.01.2022 Each event we run we are over whelmed by the support from both the public and our small team of volunteers. A huge thanks to Matthew at Surge Films- Broome for filming the event, Georgia Wheeler Photography for taking all the photos of santa, Abby Murray Photography for promoting the event and behind the scene photos, Darren our Santa, Jenny our Elf, Naomi our toy squeaker and main organiser, Jules and Rachel for all the set up, pack down and general help, plus Suzie Branch C...oordinator Extraordinaire and Estelle. Plus of course all the long suffering partners that support us all in every fundraiser and event. We had over 80 dog families join us and raised $2500. Thank you to everyone that came along, we would love for you to share this video and hope you can all join us next year. Again thank you Matthew for this video-it bought tears to our eyes to see this event captured in such a professional way. 07.01.2022 These gorgeous kittens were found just a few days old and now in the safe hands of Laura -super foster carer who is up every few hours day and night to feed them. Thank you to all the volunteers and thank you to everyone who has donated items into the blue bins at Coles and Woolworths. We appreciate your support.

03.01.2022 So we have been pretty quiet on here recently but wanted you to know we are still working tirelessly behind the scenes with the never ending strays and surrendered animals. Here is just a short message from one of our amazing foster carers: "When we pick up Sheshe I didnt even think she would last the night let alone the weekend. ... She was so anemic and skinny. She did not eat or drink. I was injecting saline under her skin every 20 min to keep her hydrated. I was hand feeding her five times a day. Then on Tuesday. She chased the mop as I was cleaning the laundry( where she stays) Then she ate the cats food. Wednesday, she drank water form a bowl. She has had short times outside as she needs her parvo shots. But things are definitely looking up for the little sad puppy." Thank you Jade for all the time you give up to care for these poorly pups and we are keeping everything crossed for Sheshe.

We have contacted all raffle winners so thank you everyone that entered.... We are now taking donations of any wrapping you have and would like to donate.
