21.01.2022 News story on WWII legacy in the Solomon Islands, still needing to be cleared to make land and communities safe. Includes short interview with our Pacific Project Coordinator John Rodsted pointing out that this is a fixable problem, that is simply in need of funds and a dedicated effort. The Pacific has "huge issues with unexploded ordinance that is holding them back from the potential they could have." SafeGround hopes to continue work in the Pacific and see real action to assist these countries in our backyard. https://www.abc.net.au//thousands-of-unexploded-w/13368838

03.01.2022 So many years after World War Two, explosives continue to kill in the Solomon Islands. This time it was a young and respected man who was organising a fundraising event near Honiara. He died, and three of his friends were seriously injured. It is sad and unnecessary. Why are they suffering 75 years after WW2 ended? We call on nations to step up and help the Solomon Islands to rid their grounds of deadly munitions. Our condolences to Raziv's family. Raziv Hilly RIP.

02.01.2022 On International Women's Day 2021 we hosted this webinar on Gender and Disarmament with a spotlight on killer robots, bringing together a panel of great women with different experiences and perspectives.
