25.01.2022 Puppy love We are simply in love with Karma and her 8 babies This is Karma’s second litter at only 18 months old. She came to us after giving birth outside in the cold. One of her puppies sadly did not make it, there were 9. ... They have had temporary foster care but are needing a foster carer superstar who can give them more time in care, Mum will do most of the work for you and in exchange puppy breath and cuddles are on offer Karma seems scared of children so would need a quiet kid free foster home with space of her own to raise her kids. If you think you can help, email us about becoming a foster carer today We are also looking for sponsors for these guys, they will need fresh mince, puppy pads, puppy biscuit, wombaroo puppy milk, and more to get them through their time in care with us. They will also be vet worked prior to rehoming. 24.01.2022 Its raining in Perth Its raining vet bills We currently have many animals in our care who are undergoing treatment for various ailments, injuries etc.... This is Benji who is being nursed currently through a severe case of cat flu which has seen him at the vet for multiple visits whilst we endeavour to nurse this boy back to health. Beaney will be a little shy at first but once you gain her trust and affection she becomes a friendly, loving lap cat. Beaney loves a head scratch and will purr up a storm if one is offered. She may even be persuaded at have a little play time once relaxed and happy. Beaney is learning to walk on a harness and lead. She... is not completely sure about putting the harness on but enjoys herself once she gets outside. She has lived with other cats before but would prefer to be an only cat. 18.01.2022 Introducing our newest SAFE Perth family member Jimmy Jimmy the lamb is a around 2 weeks old and is currently being hand raised with our team of dedicated caretakers Jimmy is being treated for a leg break which occurred during an unfortunate farming accident. This is where we were asked to step in and help. We feel blessed we were given the opportunity to help this adorable little fellow and so he now has a pin in his leg which will be removed in a few weeks time isnt... he just adorable !! We do like to help where we can taking on these cases and helping farm animals that just need time to get back on their feet and having funding available makes this possible. Farm animals can find happily ever afters too after all Jimmys treatment will come at a cost and so if you would like to help all donations are graciously received and help us provide care for Jimmy and other animals just like Jimmy. 17.01.2022 Glenn is big, loveable and cuddly. He is friendly and affectionate and will settle in quickly in the right home. He loves lap time, just being snuggled up next to you or being groomed. Glenn has learned to walk on a harness and lead and enjoys it very much, though you will need a large harness as he is quite portly. He has lived with other cats before and gets on with them but would be quite happy being an only cat. He does not like children possibly due to previous bad exper...iences, so no children young or old for Glenn. He has lived with dogs before but has mixed reactions to them. He should only go to a home with dogs if you have had previous experience of introducing dogs and cats to each other. Glenn eats wet and dry food, is litter box trained, desexed and vaccinated. Shiloh lives with other medium / large dogs and is good with them but needs a home of her own as can get a touch jealous at times if has to share you with another dog. 16.01.2022 Rabbits - You may have seen on the news recently of over 100 rabbits taken out of a northern suburbs home. We have 18 of those rabbits in our care. We are monitoring their health and providing them with a clean environment with good food and clean water. We will get them all vet checked and vet work done. This will mean going through a lot of food and hay over the next few weeks so any monetary donations towards their care would be very much appreciated. They are Netherland Dwarf x or Dwarf x rabbits so not very big.

15.01.2022 Bubbles was surrendered with her friend Penny. She is a black Dwarf Lop x bunny. She is an independent bunny who can give you a chase around when being caught however enjoys a snack on your lap watching the TV. She is an independent girl who can give you a chase around, then after being caught she enjoys a snack on your lap while watching the TV. She loves having some time outside. Being smaller she is best to be mostly an inside bunny. She is very clean, and uses the litter tray with only a few stray nuggets! She needs a home with a single person, couple or one with older children who will hangout with her and not expect too much handling. Bubbles is located in Bullsbrook. 15.01.2022 Buster is an extremely friendly rabbit, with loads of energy and a love for food. He loves his green leafy vegetables (celery leaves, cos lettuce, broccoli), carrots and loads of hay. Buster loves a pat , especially when you’re holding food and doesn’t shy away from a cuddle. He takes a little to warm up once held but will sit with you. He has a great personality and will be a great family pet. He has not been with other rabbits so if you have another it would be best to introduce before adopting. 12.01.2022 Puppies, Puppies, Puppies! Who would like to help... PUPPIES?! We are shouting out to our friends today as puppies are coming through the SAFE Perth HQ door thick and fast! ... Here is just one litter we currently have in care who came into our care at 4 weeks of age absolutely riddled with fleas and worms. The fleas in the photo attached are from just one puppy and aren’t even all of the fleas Their bath water was a horrible colour as you can see but after some time in care they are now flourishing which is fantastic. The last picture is from just a couple of days ago and puppies are now 6 weeks This is where we are seeking help from our wide community of friends today, and we have two requests that we would love your help with if you cannot help with either then please share to help us spread the word! Firstly, we are in need of supplies for the puppies in our care, specifically: -Fresh human grade mince (3 star from woolworths, coles or aldi is ideal), - Puppy pee pads - Wombaroo Puppy Formula - Puppy Toys If you are able to help with these items we would love to hear from you, we have drop off points both north and south of river. 12.01.2022 A massive THANK YOU to the Woolworths team in Banksia Grove. Mrs Santa surprising our Vice President Nicole today by paying for her entire trolley of food which included a large amount of food for all the foster animals at our Bullsbrook property (cats, rabbits, birds, livestock and a couple of dogs). Extra food bought as special treat for the animals on Christmas day. Nicole is a regular there and can't rate the team highly enough. They also regularly give us their fruit and veggie cuts that would normally end up in landfill but instead our livestock get to enjoy it.

11.01.2022 Have you ever thought about fostering a kitten or cat? If so, we would love to hear from you. We have many cats flying from northern WA to Perth as part of our flying feline fund and we need help to house them until adoption. We especially would love to hear from people who can help a pregnant kitty, just like this lovely girl black and white girl pictured who has come down to us pregnant at only around 6 months of age herself, or like ginger megs who is also probably on...ly around 7-8 months herself and her 9 stowaways. Then there’s honeycomb and her babies too... the list goes on. We need foster homes for these babies We can provide bedding support etc for suitable carers, ideally mum needs a quiet area of her own, and to be fed well and she will do most of the work. 09.01.2022 Hello, my name is Tullulah but everyone calls me Tully. Im a really cute dog with a big smile. I love chest rubs, head scratches and being with my humans. Its taken me a while to come out of my shell but I am learning more and more every day. Im really clever and can pick things up quickly which will be useful when you continue my training. I am fully house trained and dont chew anything thats not mine. My foster parents have helped me with lots of socialising but I wil...l need ongoing exposure with this. At the parks and quieter streets I walk really well on the lead and will keep checking in with you. On the busier roads I sometimes get anxious and jump towards noisy cars. My forever parents will be able to help me with this with lots of training. I can be a bit scared at home too and occasionally wet myself a little bit, but my foster parents have helped manage this and it rarely happens nowadays. I am a very loving and well behaved dog that always wants to please my foster parents and be by their side. Id prefer to be the only dog in my new home, but I can still have lots of doggy friends that we see outside of the house. 09.01.2022 Introducing Boo who is currently in care with SAFE Perth. Boo the chihuahua weighs in at just 1.9kg at 6 years of age. She was surrendered to us as the owner was unable to find time for her any more. Boo is currently being treated for a number of conditions, mange, fur loss, yeast infections, significant food allergies, bilateral ear infections... the list goes on. Boo also has epilepsy... ... Boo is already on a better diet now and with regular bathing and treatment has started to grow her fur back as you can see in the third photo but she has a long road to recovery. Boo is also starting to lose her eyesight due to cataracts. As she has so much life left to live we would like to book her in and have her operated on by an eye specialist who can assist in improving Boo’s vision so she can live a normal life once she is recovered and ready for adoption. So we ask our friends, please contribute if you can - help us spread Boo’s story far and wide - and lets support her in her recovery and see her off to have her eyes fixed. 09.01.2022 Meet Nala What can I say about beautiful Mumma Nala? To start she was a wonderful mummy to her babies and even let another stray kitten into her litter, how sweet is that! Nala is a quieter cat who likes her space when her kittens are out in the living area. She is an absolute smoocher in her safe space and loves neck, head, back and butt scratches. She is a real purr machine when she gets going and on occasion she will let you in for a belly rub too! Nala’s foster mum would ...love to find this lady a special place to call home. She thinks that once her kittens are gone to their homes she will come out of her shell and make a wonderful companion. I’ve been living with my foster family which includes a large dog, older cat, two young humans and my sister, Minstrel, so I’m suited for any household, although it might take me a week or so to get used to the change. I'm a confident kitten who knows exactly what I want and when I want it! I love cuddles and within seconds of you hitting the couch I will be on your lap looking for a pat. I understand that you can...’t pat me all the time but if you stop for too long I may give you a little love nibble to remind you I'm waiting. Although I'm always up for as many cuddles as you’re willing to give I’m not always a lover of being held. Sometimes I feel comfortable in your arms and other times I much rather sit on your lap for some love. I love to play and chase balls up and down the hallway. 07.01.2022 *No more enquiries please* These beautiful 2 and a half year old boys, Coco and Morton, are looking for their forever family. They have always lived together and are best friends so must stay together. They have been very much loved but unfortunately circumstances changed and they are now looking for a family who has the time to give them the attention they deserve. They are very cute and like to talk to you to remind you to bring them their daily vegetables and grass. Guinea pigs do need a lot of care so must be committed to cleaning, changing water and feeding daily.

06.01.2022 And here we are folks at the end of another productive financial year here at SAFE Perth. Wow, it flew by! On this day; the 30th of June - we figured we would reach out to our friends with a quick update about some of the amazing things we have been up to in the background these past few weeks. I know you all love puppies and so today is puppy focus dayyyyyyyyyyyy We currently have these three puppies in care with different ailments and at different ages who are requiring ex...tra TLC and time in care. Their names are Polo, Twitch and Pepsi. We also have cats, livestock, rabbits and other animals in our care and given our no kill ethos we deal with cases like these often where vet bills can run quite high. Vet bills have always been and will continue to be our largest expense. We are for the animals and would love our friends to consider making one last donation before the new financial year hits. 06.01.2022 Gilbert is a very happy and energetic little bun who will do absolutely anything for head scratches (seriously, don’t even think about walking past him without giving him a pat). He will be first one to greet you in the morning (for head scratches obviously), and settles really well at bed time. He has the softest plush coat that feels just like velvet (great for when you give him head scratches). This clever bun is currently being clicker trained and can do boop and spin..., he is also getting the hang of toilet training. Gilbert is such a character and would love to be your next best mate (as long as you give him head scratches). 05.01.2022 An update on Boo from Jenny, Boo’s carer- Our little foster love, Boo I think we are starting to see a bit more hair growth on her head but not much else yet. She is such a good girl putting up with her constant beauty treatments. Anita gave me the tip of melting the coconut oil into warm water and using it as a rinse. Boo much prefers that and it seems more effective. ... 04.01.2022 Audrey is a playful, inquisitive, confident and affectionate feline. Approximately 2 years old, all of her kittens have found their forever homes and now she is looking for hers. She is a quiet little soul who shows her gratitude and affection by curling up beside you to snooze or by bringing her favourite toy mouse to the foot of your bed in the morning. She adores pats and chin scratches and likes to follow you around the home to supervise what you are doing. She enjoys hu...man company and would be ok with children and other cats or friendly small dogs. This sweet little lady had a rough start to life on the streets and was pregnant before she was even a year old. The fact she is so affectionate and friendly towards humans and has taken it all in her stride is a remarkable testament to her character and good nature. 03.01.2022 Introducing our little friend Harley Harley is 12 years old and joined the SAFE Perth family after being left home alone most of the time for the last few months with someone coming by once a day to feed him. Harley had untreated dental issues which his previous owner was not willing to treat as well which we can imagine would have been causing this poor wee boy quite a bit of discomfort. ... Harley has had a full dental and has had several teeth removed and is now on the road to recovery. He will be looking for a loving family to retire with very soon We take on cases like Harleys regularly which require us to spend a little extra, but no worries- we dont let vet bills get in the way of happy endings at SAFE Perth. As always the support and donations from our friends allows us to continue taking cases on that require extra TLC so if you are able we would be most grateful for contributions toward our veterinary bills which are our biggest expense if you cannot donate then shares are worth their weight in gold too Thank you friends

03.01.2022 A SAFE Perth Cinder(Ella) story, Introducing Cinder! Cinder came to SAFE Perth with her one surviving pup from a rural Western Australian town where she spent her life outdoors.... She has been receiving treatment since coming into care in May for for an array of both bacterial and fungal skin issues. In addition to this it was discovered that Cinders Patella (Knee-Cap) had completely detached! What must have been immensely uncomfortable/painful seemingly didnt get in this girls way, she has just been thankful to be indoors receiving the love and care that she needs. Cinder has had a knee reconstruction now and has had her stitches out two days ago and is much more comfortable and happy now. Her coat is looking shiny and this gorgeous and transformed Princess will soon be looking for her very own forever family <3 Cinder is just one example of many animals who benefit from the donations that come in to SAFE Perth. All donations greater than $2 are tax deductible and are most graciously received. We ask that our friends consider supporting us so that we can continue to take on and fund difficult cases like Cinder who require more than standard vet care before rehoming. 03.01.2022 Sirrus’ time in foster care is approaching 2 years and we desperately want to find this boy his loving and forever home! He really is the perfect, low maintenance cat. He spends most of his time napping, and loves nothing more than to curl up with you in bed, and will be your cuddly companion throughout the night. He loves his food and isn’t fussy. He likes to sit on his cat tower while you watch tv, or will curl up next to you on the lounge for belly scratches. He is shy a...round new people and will hide when you have guests, but he gets used to it. He gets a bit scared if there is a lot of noise or activity, so would be better with older kids. The best home for him would be a quiet one where someone is home at least at nights to give him lots of pats and love. A retiree looking for a loving pal would be ideal. He has a cataract in his eye which doesn’t seem to bother him, and this was recently checked out again at his last vet visit and it’s not causing any issues. Please give Sirrus a chance and give him the forever home he has been waiting years to find!
