07.01.2022 Les than 12 hours to purchase your tickets in our Inaugural Online Raffle. . . This year has been tough for all of us and without our supporters it would have been a lot harder.... . . We would absolutely love to hit 1000 in ticket sales by midnight tonight. We have approx 300 tickets left to hit that target. Do you think we can do it? If you know someone who might be interested in purchasing a $5 ticket, please pass on the link. We were ambitious in our goal of raising $30,000. At the moment we are pushing for $5000. Here at SPSF we dream big and that that will never change. Without big dreams and ideas we wouldn't exist! We are so grateful for any support we get in these unprecedented times and like many others can't wait to kick 2020 to the curb so we can open up our fundraising events and interact with our supporters. Check out the raffle here: https://www.rafflelink.com.au/helpusgetawarehouse What will $5 get you? a raffle ticket (drawn Sunday 15th Nov, 3pm) peace of mind that you're helping one of SA's most active charities and in turn, vulnerable people and their pets This raffle will help us secure a place to call home. 03.01.2022 Our friends at Lucy's Project are hosting a webinar which shows why programs like our YAPP are so important "We are extremely excited to announce that the final webinar in our Concurrent Crises series will take place on Friday November 20th. This webinar will focus on the children who experience domestic and family violence with relation to the animals in their home. " To register for this FREE event, click the link at the bottom of this post. _______________________... Children experience a very particular type of trauma when exposed to animal cruelty. Too little attention is paid to child survivors who may have seen the family pet brutalised or been forced to separate from their animal during the crisis of fleeing a violent home. This webinar looks at the experience of children who have witnessed cruelty to animals from a range of viewpoints; the child as victim, early intervention and prevention when children act out with violence toward animals and international initiatives to reduce the exposure children have to animal abuse. We'll look not only at an overview of the issues in Australia but at the work of the United Nations in this space and also detail some services that may assist child victims heal from the trauma of witnessing animal abuse. PLEASE NOTE : This webinar will be recorded and shared after the event. There will be a chance for participants to ask questions via the chat function. _______________________ Register here: https://events.humanitix.com/supporting-people-with... See more
